Not sure why this film gets bad reviews. Admittedly, Justin Long is miscast here, badly so. I want to like him in general. But very wrong casting here. He can't hold up to the 'heavyweights' in acting, Ricci and Neeson. THEY are stellar, amazing -- as always. Long detracts, sadly.

I don't remember this film being so damn rape-y The film states the mom of the family is 32 and has a 16 year old daughter. Her husband is (judging by casting) at least a decade older than his wife. Was this 'normal' in 1982?

Canadian Indie Horror The first 1/3rd is captivating and absolutely hilarious! The last 1/3rd is where the audience will need to decide if they are still onboard. If you want Skibidi Toilet meets Too Many Cooks in a fever dream of the surreal? This is your jam! If not, then, not for you.

An astoundingly amazing performance by Jesse Plemons, seriously spellbinding An extremely physically demanding role for Emma Stone, wow what commitment for a role An incredibly stupid movie for them to waste their talents in. www.imdb.com/title/tt1230...

Twisted, epic, and (in terms of low budget special effects) charming A largely forgotten 1988 classic from Frank Henenlotter, which a surprising exposé on drugs, AIDS, and "coming out" in NYC in the 80s Amazingly acted and visually stunning and horrifying !!!

Can someone write a short piece on Lovecraftian comics by the end of the year? Perhaps Alan Moore's Neonomicon? Can be largely descriptive of his approach and result. Better if analytical and critical in some way. Around 3k words, can by 5K. #Lovecraft #AlanMoor #Neonomicon

Mind blowing and amazing, in the most disgusting way possible. But with a certain raw honesty for those living in the extreme margins of society. Brutal to watch. Yet funny, horrific, and disturbing at the same time Rather to find a film this spellbinding www.imdb.com/title/tt0094...

So goofy and weird that it is kind of enjoyable But thematically senseless, and only existing to set-up an ongoing franchise set around a whacky Mad Max type Scottish Highland world of tribal clans and infected hijinks Really, really the Benny Hill theme in places www.imdb.com/title/tt1054...

The most wrenching horror film I have ever seen. The horror is betrayal and separation in a relationship that won't just die, but lingers agonizingly on Nightmares for days afterwards The actors should have won all the Oscars. All of them. www.imdb.com/title/tt0082...
