This summer when we were vacationing on Fire Island the Pines Pantry market was giving out shopping bags for for the new musical Dolly. We grabbed several and will cherish them more now. I love her quote on the bag: "My weaknesses have always been food and men, in that order." RIP Dolly.

On Sun. for 1st time I made a Kuku Sabzi, a traditional Persian New Year dish. Delicious and unlike anything I've made before. Finely chopped leeks, romaine, fresh herbs w/feta, held together with a few eggs. You cook until it forms an almost burnt crust. One example of Iran's amazing food culture.

Today I got a marketing email from the Washington Post urging me to renew the WaPo subscription that I cancelled over a year ago. I of course responded by unsubcribing from their emails. I hope I never hear from them again.
