Looks fun so far. I'd suggest making the slimes a different color than the gems. The shine animation helps, but in the heat of the moment, I feel I might take damage walking into a slime thinking it's a gem.

I don't suppose anyone on my buddy list knows youtubers who do VR Let's Plays? I know my kickstarter is over and I didn't make the goal, but I'd like it to do better on launch so marketing isn't quite over yet. There'd be two Steam VR and two Meta Horizon keys on release in it for them.

Well, game jams are more about learning things than making a hit game- a game worthy of selling takes at minimum a year. Personally I say try to have fun at the game jams, try to partner with people who are skilled in areas you are not but also need what you're good at. Mike and I taught each other

Looks good. I've been itching to make a 2D game ever since I discovered this Blender shader that turns a 3D model into pixel art. The detail of animation on the character makes me think you're either using something like that or VERY good at drawing.

Love the 2.5D look. I've toyed with that idea with Sprytile and even wrote my own software for that look (But Sprytile is better), but I can never seem to make it look really good. Maybe if I spent more time adding details.

I'd prefer to work on a PC/console game on a part-time contract to make time for my current project. I like Godot, but don't mind working in Unity (Godot would be better though, I haven't touched Unity in about 8 months. I know that greatly limits me)

If I ever made an RPG like Symphony Of the Night, I'd make an invisible counter for weapons and armor drops that goes up by a random int of 1-3 on each enemy you kill. Each enemy would have its own threshold, like the counter would be 50 for leather plate and 500 for something valuable...
