$Thank you. Hello from Sweden. Let me start with something I did last Friday. I moved my own Bluesky account to a Swedish provider, hosted in Finland. Every single follower came with me. Nothing broke. *It just works\!* Because on an open protocol, we take our community with us; it doesn't belong to the host. That, to me, is the heart of it. In a democracy, no single company should own the public square. When one company owns the room where we talk, the conversation gets *prematurely optimised* for engagement and capture, not for the public good. And a captive audience cannot hold power to account. The open social web changes the incentive: it gives people a credible exit. If we can leave and take our followers with us, the platform has to *earn* our trust instead of locking us in. Exit is what keeps voice honest. As we heard in the conversation earlier, there is a cost: The hard work of interoperability. But that is the *civic muscle* we must build together. It is a governance challenge worth having, because the prize is a democracy that isn't one big room shouting, but many small rooms that can still hear each other. Let me conclude with one image. Our data is _soil_, never oil. Treat it like oil, and it is all extraction and concentration. Treat it like soil, and our community travels with us, and grows where we plant it. That is how we make the digital public square actually public. And that is how we free the future — together. Thank you.$
