🚗🛣️ Roads are getting busier, more congested, and travel is taking longer - which is why we need infrastructure like the Lower Thames Crossing! Connecting Essex and Kent, it will almost double road capacity and give millions of people more choice on where they live, work and spend their time.

This is hugely welcome news, especially after my work alongside great colleagues on the Women and Equalities Committee around baby loss entitlement before 24 weeks. For too long, families and expecting parents in Southend West & Leigh haven't had the legally protected right to bereavement leave.

☕🥣 Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and so it was especially great to meet carers at Carers First's Male Carers Breakfast in Leigh. Carers First do a great job of arranging these breakfasts and even provides respite care for those who need it, while carers enjoy a break.

🚑 To put it simply, the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust are incredible. It was a privilege to join an ambulance team for a shift to experience their day-to-day job first-hand. The sheer professionalism and dedication I witnessed was incredible. I cannot praise them highly enough. 🚑

🐶🐾 If you're a pet owner like me, you'll know just how much of a treasured part of a family a pet is. I believe that owners deserve clarity about the cost of pet care and that veterinary nurses who do such an important job deserve legal recognition.
