That's astounding. I had no idea about so much of it. And so many questions...

Sir, the published except where Dolan says he knew nothing about Bob was very odd. There aren't a lot of US cardinals, and when Bob was made one a couple of years ago, a political actor like Dolan would've learned everything he could.

Crazy. They had one from under the goalposts that looked good, and then didn't show it again

My interaction with him was sound the George Floyd protests, when he was living in Manhattan Beach and he went off in detail about how many people he and a few friends could kill by establishing checkpoints around that community. A truly sick individual.

Thanks for articulating something I've served too. The quality of the games are still good, but there's an ugliness in the air too... that it feels more joyless and 'professional' than pro football now

The only vote they cast that matters is their first one - the vote to organize the chamber. Everything else is trivial in comparison.

TBF, he was convinced that D's were going to rack up big gains in the House in 2020 based on private polling he'd seen. I think the outcome made him a little gun-shy.

A little Mandela effect at play here too... I always remembered the Horton ad as having the revolving door at the prison gates, and it doesn't. I must've conflated it with something else.

My favorite Kurt Schlichter memory is how he went off - in detail - on how he and a few of his friends with guns could seal off Manhattan Beach (where he lives) from any George Floyd protests. He was very specific about how many people he could slaughter at his "checkpoints."

When I was early in corporate life I got to fly in the corporate jet with some senior execs. Instead of talking about markets and strategy like I thought, they talked about who was sleeping with whom. I realized the higher up you go, the more personal it gets.

I live on Wilshire in Westwood in a building built in the 80s, and it's kind of an anachronistic hoot to see it in the scene where Tate picks up the hitchhiker, but normies won't know the difference. :-)

So much of life is about picturing counterfactuals, yet art seldom goes there. Re: QT, Inglorious Bastards goes there bravely too, albeit with far less earned emotion (but with more bravura.)

I have no problem with requiring remediation and transparency. "Minimum seat footprints" should be guided by safety issues alone. But airline regulation before Kahn went much further, into (broadly) setting fares.
