Finished my second day volunteering at the Red Dove Cafe at the Royal Adelaide Show. Yesterday I was on sandwiches, today I was on the servery doing hot meals. Fun and worthwhile, sprinkled with the odd bit of pressure when a few orders all came in at once. #TheShow #Adelaide #AdelaideShow

Went out for a ride with the Mud, Sweat and Gears folks this morning. We rode up through Belair National Park then on to Stirling, around through Crafers then back down to the Goat Shed Cafe in the park for morning tea. A bit of drizzle early on and very foggy at times #MudSweatAndGears #Adelaide

Doughnut of the month at Port Elliot Bakery is "Vo Vo with raspberry white chocolate cheesecake filling" I didn't want to miss out on this one. Arnott's Iced VoVo biscuits are pretty much my favourite, so I'm pleased I got to taste a VoVo inspired donut. Very nice. #PortElliot #Adelaide #Donut

Sunrise at Narrabeen, Sydney, NSW Even though we have great beaches in Adelaide, I don't get to them very often. It is so nice to stand on the sand, watching and listening to waves breaking. There's something so refreshing and resetting about it. "Good for the soul" indeed.

So yes, we did drop by the #PortElliot Bakery this morning. Doughnut of the month is "M&M Easter nest, filled with a Chocolate Hazelnut cream" Stopped for a quick walk at The Bluff before heading home. Overcast and quite blowy, but great view. Good to be home now. #Adelaide #VictorHarbor

Down at #Goolwa for the weekend. Picked up a great read from one of the second hand shops while visiting #PortElliot this afternoon. I loved reading Enid Blyton as a kid. These modern versions by Bruno Vincent are hilarious. #SouthAustralia

I checked the gutters yesterday in anticipation, but still a few blockages to clear this morning. A good bit of rain but will we get more, or will it pass us by? They have issued flood warnings just in case there is a massive downpour. Keep your Floaties and snorkel handy 🙂 #Adelaide

Going for a top of 45°C (113°F) in #Adelaide today. Maybe just a degree or two cooler here in the hills. Our garden is festooned with old bedsheets and shade cloth, trying to protect our plants from the burning heat. Hiding under here is our mandarin tree 🙂 Stay cool everyone.

Looks like the BoM have messed up the current temp data feed for my suburb (Southern Adelaide). It's more like 21°C outside at the moment! (If I switch location to "Adelaide" it shows 20°C) I wonder who they've mixed us up with? #Adelaide #Weather

Still on iOS 18.7.1 as I'd heard a lot of grumbling about 26. Noticed 26.1 is out but wow - 11.5GB! That sounds more like a desktop than a mobile OS. Still on the fence as to whether I hit 'update' though.

Went to a wedding in Kuitpo Forest today. It was cold, but thankfully the heavy rain kept away until after the ceremony. Weather in November can be unpredictable - only on Saturday it was a bright and sunny 25 and I was applying sunscreen! A beautiful setting.

Well this is weird. I went to the hardware store today to get a few things including some extra 90mm PVC storm water elbows. But now I'm home I can't find them anywhere! I'm sure I put them in the car from the shopping trolley, as I actually returned the trolley back inside the store. A mystery!
