After about five encounters in the past couple of weeks, I finally managed to destroy the pirate freighter attacking the civilian fleet.

## Lightning striking twice I managed to catch the photo mode pause just as a bunch of lightning bolts came down during a storm on the planet. Love the vibes.

The moons always look great in No Man’s Sky. But something with the birds flying in front of this one made me want to capture it.

A dark red sky waith a lighter red moon giving a fiery feel. Two birds fly between us and the moon, still very far away.

## In the fire and the flames I’m super proud of this one. Taken at the village in the north of the map – I’ll update the post when I find out the name again. The fire used to save progress was used to almost show her walking through the flames.

Aloy from the game Horizon Forbidden West. A close-up of her face, surrounded by flames. She is beyond the fire and the camera was positioned so the flames frame her face.

## Gliding down to the Tallneck Aloy glides down from the Cinnabar Sands satellite dish, towards the head of the Tallneck. I died far too many times from the two Scrappers and Skydrifter — with no metal shards left at the start of the encounter no less.

A wide shot from above in the game "Horizon Forbidden West". Aloy glides down from an unseen high point, down to the top of the head of a tallneck machine. The dusty desert sprawls beneath.

## Climbing Post I’ve been trying to get some PlayStation time in again. It’s been a while with two small children about. I took this shot of Aloy just after the battle at the Forbidden West gates near the start of Horizon: Forbidden West.

Top of a climbable post with the strong orange sun about the set in the background. The silhouette of a long-haired woman in make-shift armour, Aloy, hangs off the top.

Finally got a Casio F-91W watch. Similar, or perhaps the same, as I had as a child. Does pretty much everything a watch needs to do, without all of the modern “smart” rubbish many “watches” have nowadays.

Close-up shot of half of a man's face. He has long white hair and whitish facial hair. A large red scar across his eye but his eye is fully functional. It is Geralt from The Witcher 3 game.

## Starting The Witcher 3 Starting The Witcher 3 again for the 3rd time. Never got further than 2 hours or so in. Gonna try and commit this time.

Geralt stands on the balcony. A man with silver hair stands on a balcony lined with waist-high stone pillars topped with a stone topping. To the side is the wall of the building, covered in foliage.

No. I’m not gonna rebuild my website core. But i think I’m gonna try to build my own classic theme, based loosely on an old version of my site. Could be fun?

## The Space Jockey Never thought I’d get to visit this location from the original Alien Film. Incredible vibes and a scene almost identical to that of said film.

In a dark, round chamber, a large alien skeleton sits in a big chair looking upwards and left through what looks like a large gun.

Could “Stereotomy” by “The Alan Parsons Project” be one of the greatest albums ever recorded? I think so. The title track alone is incredible. And the closing refrain of the album being a condensed version of the same song – bringing the album back full circle is just top tier.

Front cover of the Alan Parsons Project album "Stereotomy".
