Also, I didn’t bring it up to garner sympathy or complain. I brought it up because it’s the truth and it is in direct opposition to the lie that you told. Women also commit sexual abuse - you can pretend they don’t if that helps you cope with your own trauma, but maybe take your own advice.

It’s not gaslighting because it’s true. If your point is misandry then congrats. I have cptsd and agoraphobia and I was abused as a child by both men and women, but the sexual abuse was by a woman alone whose defense was she was trying to “fix me.” So I guess my experience doesn’t matter.

I’m fully aware, and it sucks that we live in a society where women have to do this, and if you’ve been hurt to the point you are distrustful of all men then that’s valid and I’m sorry for you. But it doesn’t change the fact that there are women who commit the same crimes or even help men in theirs.

Y’all are coping hard. Women make up around 5% of sexual offenders in the USA, but data suggests it could higher even around up to 20%. There’s a huge disparity because of the social stigma that women can’t be violent so their crimes are often underreported. We are seeing that stigma here.

I always wonder this. I’ve helped animals here and there and I never pull out my camera to film it. I’m more considered with helping, and it’s hard to help when one of my hands is occupied. Makes me think a lot of these rescues could be staged… and I hate thinking that way.
