Trump is warning of a "final battle" against Democrats, who he calls "communists, Marxists, and fascists". He is using OUR taxpayer dollars to fund these ads calling us Democrats "the enemy". This is illegal and unconstitutional, like everything else he does. www.cnn.com/2026/09/27/p...

I'm generally avoiding the 'contemporary political memoir' genre. Not that they're not valid but they often are self-promotional and contain little in the way of insights.

Some of us in San Francisco first heard of the Network State and related tech cults from Emily Mills. She documented how these ideas had infused our local politics. It sounded odd at first, but her work sparked mine. On Tuesday, we're onstage together in SF. Tix here: semaphore.thd.org/954-2/

Work in progress, subject to updates through 2028. Play with the knobs and see for yourself how hard it is for an 'urban-appeal' candidate is to win the electoral college. Doable, just very hard. election2028.america2.news

Density Line 2028: How a Democrat gets to 270
County-level model of the 2028 Electoral College built on the population-density line where counties flip from Republican to Democratic.

Been crunching numbers for 2028. To win, Dems need a candidate that activates voters in counties with <690pp/sq.mi. Harris hit about 767. Or they can increase D turnout. What won't work is relying on cities to overpower suburbs, making a very rough path for urban progressive/DSA types.

Of course if Norbert Wiener had prevailed, it would be called “cybernetics.” We have had “artificial intelligence” since 1955 thanks to John McCarthy, who wished to distance himself from Wiener and his circle.

At the UN, Trump says the US government is changing the name of “artificial intelligence” to “super intelligence” in all documents and records, in a bid to change it globally. “Whoever wins superintelligence, ‘SI’, will win. That’s the group that will win.”
