The late great Maitland Emmet insisted that Coleophora (=Metriotes) lutarea always emerged in the first week of May regardless of the state of the season. This was taken on Saturday, so was he wrong or have things changed in the last 30 years? #teammoth

Recently added to Section 7 of the Environment (Wales) Act, its good to see Bankesia conspurcatella persists at Bridgend Station in spite of the jet wash regime! These larval cases are not very photogenic, admittedly. #mothsmatter #teammoth
