I mean at this point it seems like yeah. Our emissaries will be machines. And the smarter the machines, the better. If you want them to prep a colony on Mars, it's ideal if they can be fully autonomous.

This is true. LLMs store ideas and information very similar (in some ways) to the brain. There are no "files" in the LLMs either.
