Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 1hIt may well be the most effective way to get learners to an arbitrary 'learning outcome' or three which can be parroted back. It does not produce resilient, deep thinkers. 020
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 6hWe will have to agree to disagree, which to be frank, is all that matters as you seemingly have no intention of voting green anyway. 010
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 20hParty Leader. Critical by election. He made a call. You planning on joining or voting the Greens soon? 010
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 23hBut don't forget - you must include a hinge Q and a synoptic start question! 100
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 23hJeez, that's tough. I've had my fair share of unteachable classes. Yet it's the kids who've been failed, not failing, largely. 120
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 23hTrue, but we live in a strange age where the experience and opinion of experts is shunned for vibes and 'common sense'. 010
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I think anyone who has taught 25+ teenagers last lesson of the day would find this blindingly obvious. 330
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Maybe. Suggests they've got the pricing slightly out on reflection. 110

Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 11/10/2026You guys seem to have climbed the table a bit since I last checked! Keep it up. Would like Hertha and FCSP up, brilliant away days for Unioner. 000
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Yeah. Do you think there's an argument to go without both Bruno and Haaland, to enable premium defence + Saka/Palmer/Rogers/Isak/Pedro etc? Short term at least seems very feasible. 100
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Haaland isn't exactly tearing up trees though. At the minute, Raya, Calaf, Tark, De Cuyp, Rogers, Groß, Palm, DCL, Ped and you're doing fine. 100
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 11/10/2026United look so off it, it's unreal. Painful to watch. Bruno you can probably hold over a season, but it's so frustrating. 110
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Well, maybe. Or it could have lost him a lot of votes. Ultimately he's up for re election next year, where ,members will have their say on his performance. 000
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I see your point, but I really don't think this is the motion to be smoothed over. A potential mis-step would've been printed all over the papers days before a by election he's spent months prepping for. He has plenty of time now to respond effectively to it IMO. 100
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Yeah, I cancelled mine due to cost cutting, but not tempted to renew any time soon. 000
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026The thing is, ZP didn't make the motion. The membership brought it forward, correct? Isn't this democracy in action? 110
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Has he been passive though? I thought he'd communicated his thoughts on it pretty clearly? Imagine he'd lost the by election by a narrow margin, and voted.... Particularly if he's not strongly for or against. 100
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I ask this in good faith, but what do you think Zack voting would have achieved? His vote counts for no more than anybody elses - no? 220
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026No, I typed in English, could be something to do with my phone settings. Bear in mind, Polanski was elected in. He didn't create the motion. He took on a challenging seat in H & P. All we've heard really is that he's failed. Christ, how many times did Farage get rejected?! 120
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Absolutely. Differences in view are fine. Just completely unhelpful, irrational criticism which is unhelpful. 120
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I tend to agree, although not a massive believer in the mute/block function unless absolutely necessary. I'm bemused by all the talk of Greens having failed? Tories? LD? Reform? Like wtf. 210
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Quite possibly, albeit I think Burnham is a better operator than KS. 030
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Let's reconvene in a week. I bet ZP is still leader. What do you think? 020
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Yep, been saying this to my right wing family since 2024. Ironically, it also presents the Tories with a clear route back to power (if they regain their marbles). 010
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Know what's so frustrating? This was obvious as soon as he retook office. Especially once he started whanging on about tariffs. The US should've been made a pariah state. Stop appeasing the narcissist. 000
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Adam, it's not just the media. I've seen so many comments on here (usually Labour types) who are parroting the same cr*p. Telegraph this morning too "The fall of Polanski". The Greens are still well up on when he took over, aren't they?? He's been a victim of his own success. 140
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026and if that's not what he thought?.... Plus, as stated elsewhere, I'm not sure that's how the leadership of the GRE works.... 020
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 10/10/2026So what would happen to trigger Polanski's departure? Like I said earlier, I'm not a 'loyalist' to anyone. It's weird. I just think Zack was voted in on making the party more 'populist' to try and widen it's support base. Thus far, he's managed. 120
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026By this measure - every party leader should be standing down. 🤦♂️ 010
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Just wrong from start to finish this. I disagree. He could've voted, yes. However he had an important by election on, so he didn't. That's it. If you want a top down party which tells you what to think, you choose your vote elsewhere. 120
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Like, if and when ZP is in the wrong, I'm happy to say. I certainly wasn't a Corbynite years ago and I would describe myself as a Polanski follower. I think particularly whilst Starmer was LAB leader, Polanski was giving the best offering of the major parties. 000
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Zealots? Not zealouts. Not disparaging, just the idea that no matter what argument I counter with, you will criticise ZP/greens nevertheless. Maybe I'm wrong? 100
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Hang on, so your saying that if ZP would've condemned the motion, those agreeing with it would've what, changed their mind? Polanski's roll, as a politician, is to listen to his members and if elected, constituents. It matters not one jot really what he personally thinks. 120
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Obviously, yes. I like differences in opinion, but it's not unhelpful to point out when somebody has no interest in engaging in debate, and is purely there to criticise a particular party/individual. 110
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Disagree, your idea of leadership seems antiquated and actually very much in line with how a Reform voter may see a 'leader'. 000
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026You keep telling yourself that. Ironically, Labour's 'leader' scuttled off, causing this by-election in the first place. 👍 110
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Yes, yes it was. His one vote would've made naff all difference. He now has plenty of opportunity to clarify his position and navigate the party through this. Least it outs the anti-green zealots. 320
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Agree that in the last couple of weeks there have been a few results in the NE which feel as though they would've gone Reforms way 12 months ago. That was their strongest claim to be the government in waiting, winning low turnout council by elections. Now this has gone... 010
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Starmer will be a minor footnote in the history of Labour leaders. Won an election on a meagre 33?%, cratered the parties popularity in all directions, before scuttling off and leaving his constituents high and dry. Won't be missed. 000
Dave M @daveryan96.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Ultra far left hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Sorry. Hahahahahahahahaha. They're centre-left at best. 000
