Dog Man #10 sold 1.3M in 2021, and Dog Man #12 sold 1.27M by 2025. Smile sold 1.5M. Sisters sold 1.4M. Naruto sold 3M in the U.S. All of these are bigger than Captain Marvel in the 1940s. Comics are WAY more popular now than in 1974. Every kid in school is reading comics today.

To be precise, DC's digests from 45 years ago were approx. 5" x 6.75" (just slightly smaller than Reader's Digest). These new Compact Comics are 5.5" x 8.5" (so Half Letter size) and MUCH easier on the eyes than digest comics.
