Microsoft Excel → SQL Need to remove duplicates in Excel? You'd use Data -> Remove Duplicates. In SQL: SELECT DISTINCT customer_id FROM transactions DISTINCT shows you unique values. No clicks needed. **AND** You've automated it for reproducibility.

Microsoft Excel → SQL VLOOKUP() in Excel helps you populate data in one table by pulling data from another table. In SQL, that's a JOIN: SELECT * FROM orders JOIN customers ON orders.customer_id = customers.customer_id Similar concept. But works with multiple columns and millions of rows.
