I never paid much attention to his pop music production stuff, but "Strange Cargo 3" and "Pieces in a Modern Style" are longtime favorites of mine. His rendition of "Adagio For Strings" (Samuel Barber) is quite moving. RIP

My wife and I watch The Daily Show almost every night it's on. It was great to see Caitlin Collins last night, I like Jon Stewart; he can be insightful, incisive, funny and right on. I just wish he'd trim back his monologuing when interviewing his guests.

I interviewed her in the early 90's. Thoughtful, but guarded. She had a helluva band in her day. She asked that I NOT record her interview, saying she had been routinely misrepresented in the press. She sent me a thank you when she read my piece. Lovely, talented woman.
