Seeing a lot of hype/controversy around TOON. I’ve noticed a strong correlation between those dismissing TOON and having #opentowork on their LinkedIn. Hot take: It’s too early to evaluate the long-term utility of TOON. Those not giving it a chance now are just cosplaying as pragmatic engineers.

I love using data attributes as modifiers in #CSS. Been using this pattern for 5+ years and haven't seen it emerge anywhere else.

Code snippet showing CSS with a menu class with display set to none and a nested selector for a data-is-open attribute with display set to block. A new code snippter showing a menu component in React with a state for isOpen, a menu button which toggles the state and a nav element which has the menu class and a data-is-open attribute which is set by the isOpen state value.
