There is so much misunderstanding about the role of the camera body when digital photographers come to film. Rightly so, because the body plays a major role in digital photography. However… youtu.be/q8NCthbc6Ms

My favorite Leica M11 photos from 2024, with two exceptions. There are many reasons this is my favorite camera, but these photos affirm those reasons. Leica truly brings out the best in me. youtu.be/oZsGErfygy0

Today I launched a new preset based on the films of the 80s. These were indeed better times, and if you use that phrase, you’ll get 30% off. See it in action: youtu.be/KQyN8jQs-cU

Every YouTube comment should lead off with “Thanks for taking the time, energy, and investment into making this video. Here are some thoughts I have…” My God, what a different space it would be if people could get over their entitlement.

2025 is the year to celebrate every milestone. 2 years ago in 2023, I started posting videos. They weren’t very good. Still aren’t in many ways haha. But I’m focused on getting better with each video, and grateful for every sub. Thanks for allowing me to make YouTube part of my photography story.

Man, I’m so tired of the social media rollercoaster. Hopeful for Bluesky and @fotoapp.co to become the place for legit community, inspiration, and interaction.

I bought four rolls of Kodachrome and I have some mad science experiments planned with it. Everything I’m going to try will likely fail. #photography

I’m Dave, a photographer and videographer from the Bay Area of California. Last week I shared this video / short film I made in response to where we are as a country. I called it “Photographing The End” because well, it often feels like it’s the end. youtu.be/u46dL-5aDdc
