I got a respiratory infection so have now spent less than half the days in the classroom so far. Also meant my hernia op got postponed so I’ll be having another two weeks off at the beginning of November. And my contract is up in the summer so currently not making a good impression atm. 🤗

and I respect that 3) the nuance that seems to be missing is that multiple things can be true, or believed to be true, at the same time. Ie City cheated, their fans want to support the club, the rules were set up to some extent to protect some clubs, the PL favors some over others.

When you say defensive fortune, do you mean some teams have been lucky and some unlucky? As to the wider point, 5 games from 38 is beginning to be enough to see trends, but a number of teams will be skewed by single games which is 20% of their sample but only 2% of the whole.

Disagree actually. Multiple seasons point deduction yes. But there should be an initial one that means they get relegated. Mid table treading water means it’s too easy to sell the club, new owners successfully appeal some of the punishment, following Chelsea precedent. Owners must be punished.

Literally two years ago Leicester broke financial rules when winning the Championship. They have been found guilty and punished. They still have their title. Nobody seems to be sueing them. I just don’t expect that to happen

Disagree with this last point very strongly. Manchester City is more than this ownership and regime. It was/is a community too. They don’t deserve to be punished. Big points deductions, fines. To the point where selling is not feasible. But treat the 99% of City with care and respect.

I think multiple seasons deduction are very good. But a) needs to start with a significant first season one to ensure relegation and b) needs to be long enough. If you don’t do both then you are setting up a situation where they might be able to tread PL water and sell. And you don’t want either

1-2/8 Brazilfest Big parade in the town on Saturday, but I was traveling back from England. Sunday was workshops- jujitsu, crafts, dancing and enough drums for 40+ people - followed by a smaller parade around a park with the new musicians and dancers We also met a lady with parrots 🦜

7-8 August There’s an important architectural house called Villa Tugenhadt and it’s located in a ‘park’ with two other significant villas. To celebrate 25 years as an UNESCO heritage site they lit the buildings and park.
