I TURNED 40 TODAY! Hubby took me on a surprise cabin trip to Salt Spring, friends threw a surprise bday party, got to see Lucy Darling, & host a couple games of Blood On The Clocktower. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the week. I'm grateful for everyone who pitched in to make it happen!!

Drove an hour into the woods today to spread my dad's ashes, next to my younger brother from years ago. I still have complicated feelings about it all, but I'm glad I can close this chapter of my life and try my best to move on.

There was a big fist fight on the skytrain last night. Bystander in the seat beside me got punched hard, I got clipped on the cheek+ear. Turned into a 5+ person fight with everyone else, incl me, scrambling to the back of the train. I'm ok! No bruise in the morning. Just a bit shaken up still x_x

I watched my dad pass away yesterday. After a month and a half of struggling, he's finally at peace. I'm okay. I'm doing my best to surround myself with friends as I try to figure out how to navigate the next few days. I appreciate those who've reached out and kept tabs the last few weeks <3

What a month! December was pretty much a wrap. Working 70hr+ overtime weeks, dad in the hospital most of the month, and general Xmas craziness. I'm pretty burned out. I've the next couple months off between work contracts, so I'm happy to unwind, catch up on personal art, and gaming <3
