A new addition to the household. Mrs B’s mum can no longer look after her so Lizzie is now living a life of luxury with us. Only eats sausages & will only sleep on the couch. Something to aspire to I imagine.

Yes. Left 6 yrs ago. Husband got Parkinson’s at 53. Lost their retirement together. Found it too hard to look after it & go back to sort it. Spoke to her this week. Living in a small flat in Crosby. Sad story. Sold to developer for £120K. Average price £240K. 90% of house gone the tip.

Liverpool was definitely a hub of creativity in the 80s. The bands from that time are testament to that. The post punk ethic carried on for a good while. Strangely it was probably being on the dole that let them create the music & learn how to be a band. Local radio a big help too.

Working in Netto the day of 9/11 so didn’t see it happening in real time. Customers talked of planes crashing into twin towers. Some workmates thought that the planes had hit Wembley stadium.

Went to Venice and Slovenia for my holidays this year. Slovenia is great. Can recommend. I took some generic photos & I’m going to share some with you.

Watched it last night. Funny, thrilling feel good buddy movie. Can’t remember the last time a film made me smile so much. Rocky burning up to help save Grace got to me and I’ve even read the book. Good antidote to all this arm waving.

Amongst others I read this. Really enjoyed it. A bit too young for your teenage history but early 80s Liverpool was brilliant for music & culture. Macs was my club till the rave stuff took over. Went to the Bluecoat film society too. I’ve been recommending it to friends. Sure they’d love it as well

My mediocre laundrette. Needed a puffa winter dog walking coat fluffing up after washing. Flabbergasted to find out £1 will get me 4 minutes in the dryer. 4 bloody minutes!!! And had to bring my own tennis balls.
