All strategic plans in higher ed are bullshit, but Gustavus seems to have a good one. It is direct and simple. They aren’t chasing fads (*cough* AI *cough*) but are focusing on academic excellence tied to high impact student experiences, community, and the financial health of the college.

My favorite bit is that there is basically zero student interest in this. They had to cancel scheduled courses because *1* student enrolled. An Associate Dean told the Interim Director, "I can take care of notifying the one student and cancelling the course."
