Ah, I’m glad 😊 His work is very guided by his birthplace (Newfoundland) I think, where nature (Icebergs, whales, weather) is more obviously powerful than in many other places. People seem small, as we are. I find nature can seem supernatural if you face it straight, which I think he does.

The weather’s forecast to be fine for pow wow tomorrow at Grand River (Six Nations), I’m looking forward to a great gathering. This was taken last Sunday at Scugog pow wow.

Thanks Jenni, I’ve been doing a few in this style, very influenced by Gloria Petyarre, an artist born and raised in the desert. She saw the flow and dance in nature, the deep joy of life. I’ve been trying to get to that.

After mum passed, my sister took cuttings from mums garden and planted them around her own pond, to help keep memories alive. Roses, lilies, poppies, and more. They’ve all grown well the past 3 years and are now in full bloom, so last week I painted the scene. #painting #flowers #gardens #art

Well, there’s a lot of frantic flapping at take off and landing, but in the air it beats it’s wings very quickly and is much like any bird. I believe it also swims underwater exceptionally well.

This time of year the Ptarmigan are easily seen in north Iceland as they try to attract mates and defend territories. Like Golden Plovers they’re another daily pleasure. This one strolled right on past me, just a couple of metres away. #birdoftheday #birdphotography #nature #bird #iceland #travel
