iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

LOL I do appreciate the kind words! Either next week or the week after I'm attempting apple cider donuts. Because why not

For your consideration 🫴: Apple fritters. First time using a Dutch oven for frying, and the first couple of attempts were on both ends of the "done" spectrum. Once I locked in, it was pretty much over. Right now they chill on a rack after being glazed. We'll dig in after dinner.

Today's experiment: apple fritters. Went apple picking last weekend, and everybody decided we need to make fritters at home. Results coming later today.

For a first night back after Gods knows how long, that was really fun. It was good seeing familiar faces, and some new ones come in as well. We're gonna try to get back to making this a thing. Slowly but surely, we'll get back to where we used to be. Have youreselves a good night.

Remember when I said I was going live at 8:00? Well, I'm extremely nervous. And the best way to break out of that is to jump head first into whatever it is you want to do. Let's go. twitch.tv/daunknown

Da Unknown @daunknown.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Yeah, I think I'll go live tonight. How's eight o'clock sound? Good. See you then.

010

Da Unknown @daunknown.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Aside from that disappointing news from earlier... Still debating on if I want to stream tonight. If I do, I may boot up FF XIV and play that while shooting the shit. Got a character I haven't touched in a while that may end up becoming what I use for solo play. I'll make a decision soon.

Da Unknown @daunknown.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

So, according to Twitch (and my wife), my ten year anniversary of hitting the go live button is on the 10th. Which happens to be this Saturday. Maybe we get in front of the camera on that day and shoot the shit for a bit? I got time to think about it

Da Unknown @daunknown.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Watching Ranma 1/2 with the wife since season three started yesterday (on Netflix, anyway). I now find myself cringing at almost every character on that show, minus Akane. Honestly, if you take her away, you're just left with a cast of assholes. Anyway, that was just my random thoughts.

What ice cream maker did you pick up?

Oooooooh y'all gonna have that real good bread

How late is too late when wanting to go back to a thing that you enjoyed doing? Asking for a friend

I learned long ago that the best way to enjoy these showcases, especially Nintendo Directs, was to do one of two things: One: Watch it later so you can enjoy it at your own pace. Two: If you have to watch it live, for the love of God, turn off the chat. Your enjoyment will improve tenfold.

Kinda late, but who else has the overwhelming urge to buy a Switch 2?

Successfully held back from shoving my hand into a hot slow cooker, and now I am rewarded. Ribs with green beans and corn bread. Well worth the wait.

Two plates of food. One with green beans mixed with mushrooms and bacon with a cornbread muffin. The other with ribs.

I'm playing a dangerous game right now: I made BBQ sauce last night for today's slow cooker ribs (still don't have a grill) and letting it go low and slow today. I'm fighting the urge to shove my hand into a hot-ass slow cooker to start eating these things. The struggle is real.

Random FF XVI update: Started doing more work on my starting character. The one I intend to make the "lore accurate" warrior of light. Right now, I'm working on the crafting/gathering jobs. Tonight we begin Culinarian. Hopefully gonna get into Big Back University in no time.

So I don't know if it's me being a cynical gamer or if it's the sign of the times with the gaming industry, but watching this Gamescom Opening Night Live left me kind of... meh. Couple good things like Studio Tour and Megaman, but overall I kinda just tuned out. Hopefully it's just a one time deal

Noticed I got a lot of follows today, so... hi. Warning the new folks now: I've fallen into the XIV grind again. So, expect to see a bit of that along with my random video game and cooking posts. By the by, status update: alt character hit level 30 on lancer. Now we work on the heals.

For your consideration 🫴: Strawberries and cream scones. Made two batches, and we already ate the first batch. So remembered to take a pic of the second one. Came out really good.

XIV update: I have obtained all of the minions for the Yo-Kai Watch event. Now, the grind begins to get all the legendary weapons. Do I have all the jobs unlocked to even warrant doing this? No. Is that going to stop me from doing it? Hell no.

Da Unknown @daunknown.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

So I don't eat seafood because I don't like it (pitchforks down, please) but the family wanted shrimp. For your consideration 🫴: Lemon Garlic Shrimp Pasta With Spinach. Looks like they're enjoying it, so I'm calling that a win.

There are a couple of things I wanted to bring up. 1: With Destiny 2 hitting end of service, I have once again found myself falling in love with Final Fantasy XIV. Even made a new character to relive ARR. No regrets at all. 2: Where the hell did all these random ass "pornbot" accounts come from?

010

Da Unknown @daunknown.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

Watching Shangri-la Frontier with the waifu. Why can't we have VR experiences like this? Or MMOs like this in general? Granted, I'm knee deep in the FFXIV stuff, but the encounters and stuff shown in this show would be freaking wild! Maybe one day we can have something like this. A kid can dream

Da Unknown @daunknown.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

Man, I can't wait for Evercold to drop so I can go to the Gold Saucer and play Yoshi P teaches typing. This is not sarcasm. I actually want to give it a few runs. May whip out The Typing of the Dead just to get prepared for it.

Once I finally obtain a dance pad, I want to record myself playing. Mainly as a way to 1: Keep myself accountable for staying on a "workout routine." 2: Try to get myself back to how I was able to play 20 years ago. Not the new DDR stuff that's out now. I'm not trying to kill myself.

Me? Open for commissions? More likely than you think! I have a limited run of portrait commission slots up for grabs. Digital and Traditional Media! And through VGen! I'd love to do some work for you. vgen.co/heroicn0nsense #commissions #vgen

Slowly (though not as quietly) making moves. The goal is to return to going live, possibly at the end of the month. Eventually learn how to YouTube and make "content" there as well. Please understand, though: I am not an influencer. Don't put that negative energy on me.

For your consideration 🫴: Croque monsieurs. Because nothing says America and Fourth of July like French food lol. Had a lot of ham slices and figured why the hell not. Definitely will make again.

Me: So I think the squad I'm gonna start out with in Marvel Tokon is Storm, Swagneto, Blade and possibly Ms. Marvel Wife: Does this mean you're going back to the FGC community? And I thought about it... does one actually "leave" a gaming community? Had to ponder that for a bit

And this is the roster at launch. What do they have for DLC, if they have any planned?

I already knew I was picking this game up. Then they showed that and I'm like "Shit, I gotta get this twice "
