Join me in the mad, brilliant realm of Big Finish Dan!

That recent Doctor Who news has sent me sprinting back to my happy place: The Eighth Doctor with his top tier team of Charley Pollard and C'rizz! Big Finish remains a bastion of brilliant adventures. I adore this story and the ever entertaining Sonturians. (Sontaran + Centurion, of course)

A Sontaran clad in golden Roman armor stands before the Doctor as portrayed by Paul McGann and his companions, Charley and C'rizz.

Since I started voice acting it's always been these two.

To help soothe my mind I've also been returning to a timeless classic: Panzer Dragoon Saga. What a masterpiece. Planning to see this fresh play through to the end.

A boy in a red outfit sits on a stone floor to the left in a dark ruin. To his right a large crimson dragon stands, facing him.

A red dragon flies through a mountainous corridor in the foreground while several bird-like creatures fly in the distance. Menus overlay the action, showing various stats and instructions.

A save game interface with a fossilized dragon embedded in a bone-like wall in the background.

A descriptive log on an ancient civilization's interface. The text reads: "Regulation of Imperial Troops. Operations in the Frontier. 1/3. The uncivilized people of the frontier fear the ancient machines, and subject them to their idiotic beliefs. Our duty is to locate the buried finds, and return them to the rightful heir, his highness."

Returning to the Director's seat with CONTROL. I've gotta get ready for the sequel because I am beyond excited. Coming back to this game after recently finishing Alan Wake 2 has been nothing short of inspiring. What a crazy, awesome ride these games are.

Ahti the Janitor stands with his body covered in dark shadows from the shoulder up, his head turned to the side with a glint of light visible in his eye. "You are here about the job," he says in subtitles.

Jesse Faden fights to hold the Service Weapon in an all-white void.

A wide shot of Central Executive in CONTROL, with a silhouetted body arched and floating in the center of the image. To the right, an enormous inverted black pyramid reaches down from the ceiling, nearly touching the floor. In the distance a variety of Federal Bureau of Control agents are seen milling about and talking.

I love taking photos with lots of sprawling blue sky.

A vast lake on a sunny day with a mostly clear blue sky overhead and distant forested land visible across the horizon.

I have been blissfully lost in the breathtaking spiral of mysteries that is Alan Wake 2 recently. @samlakewrites.bsky.social and the crew at Remedy are absolute masters.
