It has been one month, one week, and one day since you first placed a collar around my neck, dear Artto. And I am still just as touched and over-the-moon as I was that night you surprised me with it. "I do not own you," you warned, with a gentle sternness, as you held the torque in your hand (con't)

Newly-collared Floki stands next to his Alpha, Artto, an arm each aroud the other. They both wear their pup hoods, and a harness over a nice dress shirt. They gaze into each other's eyes, awash in the emotion of the ceremony that just took place.

The "altar" Artto and family set-up for the collaring ceremony: Floki's hood is on display on Artto's mannequin head, which is lit up in a soft orange to match Floki's color scheme. An orange bandana is draped in decoration under a lit candle, around which a gold torque rests. A large framed photo of the two pups is displayed opposite the hood, next to another lit candle.

A black and white photo of Floki (sans hood) beaming and showing off the official torque Artto gifted him: it is a beautiful piece, the body wrapped in corded brown leather and the end caps are bronze Nordic-inspired wolf heads, reminiscent of Fenris. (This piece hadn't arrived in the mail yet on the night of the ceremony, so Artto had used a personal torque as a stand-in at the time).

Who else was at Southeast Black and Blue Weekend 2025? This pup is still reeling from and processing ALLLL of the experiences, new friends, revelations, and discoveries.
