Tidy Data is typically not the intuitive way for students to initially collect and enter data, but fortunately it can often be simple to convert. Check out the blog post below to brush up on the process. about.dataclassroom.com/blog/keep-y…

There’s something great about a "new to you" dataset. No agenda, no set-in-stone storyline for the data. It's fun to approach a new dataset, wondering what questions are waiting to be asked and answered, and what those answers may hold. about.dataclassroom.com/blog/raw-da…

“line graph” and “line of best fit” (or regression line) are sometimes mistakenly used by students in an interchangeable way. about.dataclassroom.com/blog/line-v… Being clear as you define these very different graph types will help them to understand what the data are saying.

Three ways data visualization is imperative for analysis: discover the whole story by excluding data, use graphs to steer toward the right questions, and clarify the story by altering the look. about.dataclassroom.com/blog/data-v…

Excel in the science classroom? Go one better. — DataClassroom
There is a misconception that students should use spreadsheets for everything - because “that’s what they’ll be using when they are in the workplace” . But scientists don’t generally use spreadsheets for visualization and analysis . And there’s a reason for that.
