My Dad is 73 and a retired teacher. He’s been working as a substitute teacher in his retirement. He loves it. But he just told me that this will be his last year because he’s afraid there won’t be a flu or Covid vaccine available next year. Can’t afford to be exposed to those germs at his age.

My 9 year old daughter asked “what is wrong with that man?” when she saw the commercial. I had to explain to her that he is a mentally ill man with a lot of money and too much time on his hands.

I was watching on satellite tv at first. Heard the boos for Trump. At halftime, I switched to watching the game on Hulu Live and noticed there was a few second delay on the video. Now I’m wondering if the delay was on purpose.

My Mom worked as a grant writer for them back in the 90s. The office she worked at ran nursing homes for low income seniors and provided assistance for Kosovo refugees. They do a lot of great work and provide vital services.

Moms for Liberty took over our local school board a few years ago and tried to ban books in our libraries. In the next school board election, we fought back and flipped our Board to a 6-1 dem majority. Local efforts and elections matter. Communities really have to come together and fight back.

I saw someone suggest going on the CDC’s website and downloading the current recommended vaccine schedule for kids. Since we don’t know when/if it when it will be removed from their website. I did that yesterday so I have it for future reference.
