i've been feeling so much more hesitant to check and post on bluesky lately, overall been feeling quite lost on the future of this account there'll probably be a point where i'll probably quit bluesky and move onto tumblr, dunno why but this platform doesnt hit the same anymore

sorry for the people who are following me that have to have their feed flooded by my own thoughts, i tend to overthink things, this is just a result of putting my own thoughts onto words you see right here and now.

overall in 2025, i think i’ll start changing up my social media persona, i dont know what i want to change it to but i’ll figure it out down the road, maybe it’ll become primarily an art blog, maybe i’ll stop making art posts here, or i wont change, one of these will happen but im not sure as of now

this isn’t the life i should’ve chosen, i need to focus more on my own skills and stuff rather than the number of people that are aware of the stuff that i put out for the world i dont expect (and really want) this to garner much attention, it’s mainly just a thought i’ve had

but i may focus a bit majorly on other aspects of my life during that break it isn’t exactly healthy for a teen to get into habits like these, and it just makes me feel worse as every time i check notifications i feel like i’m constantly desperate for attention and engagement. i want to stop that

i’ve honestly been giving it some thought and i think i should take a bit of a break off social media for a few days after janurary 1st, it’s caused me to constantly check notifications which is a really, really bad habit for me i’ll might still work on some art during my break,

overall, the big game studio industry is just so. fucking. confusing. which is one of the reasons why i thought about going indie rather than working with a big studio, as well as why i’ve been attempting to learn more skills so i can eventually work on my own games that i wanna do

i do agree that the game industry now is too focused on “holy fuck this is real life,” i think industries now just want something to APPEAR like it can sell well, as it seems like now studios are forcing devs to go quality over quantity (“quantity” being the same fucking game over and over again)

i mean art diplomas do exist (it managed to get one of my friends hired by an animation studio) so that could be a contributing factor as well, but this is mainly an educated guess from knowing a bit of the industry if you really want to get into the game dev scene, go indie, but that’s not easy too

being a game dev is not easy at all (dealing with burnout still despite being a dev myself), especially when being hired by a big studio just a guess as for concept artists but, i think it really just comes down to the stylization and general field experience ?
