I'm pretty good a scoping for jams, so not much was "cut", but there's a bunch of stuff that I plan for on larger projects, like the little QoL stuff like rebindable keys, and difficulty on a jam game I tune so that most everyone can beat it, so they're often less challenging, though still fun!

I've got 4 1st place entries in various categories over the past 4 years - www.dashingstrike.com/games.html#j... - Snake Eyes (1st overall, probably my favorite) and Rasa (1st in audio) were made with some of the same collaborators as I'm working with on Moraff's Dungeons.

Not quite sure what you're asking, but I care about the history (it was an interesting time in game development), and love dungeon crawlers (and have made a few winning entries to the annual Dungeon Crawler Jam, somewhat in preparation for this project ^_^).

I definitely started this remaster not because of the brand recognition, but because of deeply caring about the games. On a personal side, it was the first shareware game I ever picked up the phone and registered, and it was part of what started me down my long career in game development =).

We're definitely trying to capture as much of the original as possible, including that random-dungeon-crawl feel. Options exist to tune between exact original mechanics and a bunch of rebalance that (I think) improves the game. Regardless, we get modern controls, smooth gameplay, and new visuals.

My last #LudumDare #gamejam entry, Gemwright, turned out pretty good, and ranked in the top 10 for both Overall and Fun! Heavily inspired by some crafting mechanics from #FFXIV. www.dashingstrike.com/LudumDare/LD...

A few weeks back I participated in the annual Dungeon Crawler Jam and made a game (this year with an artist who did all amazing hand-drawn original art). I'm happy with how it turned out, and, so were other people, I guess, as it won the jam! www.dashingstrike.com/LudumDare/DC...
