Ontario jails are using an AI tool that claims to predict prisoners’ behaviour. And it’s disproportionately placing Black prisoners in maximum security. An investigation by @desmondcole.bsky.social reveals the province knew the tool would discriminate against Black people—and used it anyway.

In not surprising news....OpenAI & Anduril have teamed up for military contracts. The entire military/policing industrial complex is just a cash cow for companies hawking tech with barely any use cases. It doesn't matter what you make, the DOD and PDs will buy it.
