Their long-ass life they'd be... Very old teens. It looks crazy but if a wolf could talk they would be very wtf when compering their teenage with ours too. Then there's the "they see time differently" which means they take things slower, which is basically Frieren, and which also have lots of sense

I think there a lot of tropes you can drope into that apart from the (totally valid) "I like it" trope. I fine the "they mature slower" quite interesting too! I mean, humans can life around ~80 years but their brain doesn't develop completely until 20-25, so you can expect that a quarter of

I think the audience has changed to a "lazier" type. It has learned that they can find all they want in one app (videos ->YouTube, posts -> Twitter, comics -> webtoon, fanfic-> Ao3, etc). So now we artist are too afraid to jump to an "alternative" with less people, in case it lowers our chances :/ +

Thank you Krispy for that analysis! I've been a webtoon canvas author for almost two years and my two fears are: 1) not-anime style might not be appealing to audience. 2) update-each-week algorithm "or else..." Drawing comics is taugh, takes time, and you may never see revenue. Furthermore +

Sorry for the length!! The one I write as unlucky is Alex, 'cause 1) his situation always changes for the worst, 2) he tries to do the right thing and fails miserably. Things never turning the way you want is what I see as bad luck! This is just my interpretation, oc! Love to hear other theories.

When he gets outside that box, THAT'll be a different story. Cause he doesn't know how to navigate a different, more peaceful world. Alex trying to befriend him, for example, it's completely alien to him, and that's why his mind's so alert about it. So I feel it's not bad luck, it's loosing footing.

Hmmm I never use the concept of luck when writing Edgy actually! He's unlucky in his circumstances oc, but I don't see that as bad luck, cause it's a constant: He has no say on how the world works. And in that constant, he chooses peace most of the time (more like resignation) BUT, ++
