The 2 pt difference from what should have been a win against WAS is STILL keeping ACFC out of the playoffs. @nwslsoccer.com should add those 2 pts to ACFC'S record (WAS can keep their 1). They can take away pts when the team provides childcare for players, but can't correct a wrong result?

Current NWSL standings as of 9/7/26.

Angel City FC is in 9th place with 32 pts on the year, while Seattle Reign FC is in 8th with 34. But during a match with Washington Spirit in August, ACFC had a goal overturned by VAR, which Ref PRO later reported was the wrong decision. The result of that game was a draw instead of an ACFC victory, meaning ACFC got 1 pt from the result instead of 3. This 2 pt discrepancy is keeping ACFC out of 8th place in league standings, based on goal differential.

In 2024, NWSL punished Angel City FC for providing childcare for the parents on its team without including that in the salary cap - which at the time was a rule. Among other penalties, the league deducted 3 pts from ACFC's season record.

My final girl

My cat, Winter, wearing a Michael Myers Halloween shirt. Halloween being the name of the movie franchise the shirt is promoting, but also the upcoming season the movie is named for. And Michael Myers is the fictional character featured in (most of) the films, who terrorizes a community by brutally lacerating people. Not to be confused with the comedic actor Mike Myers. Although, fun fact, the mask worn by Michael Myers in (most of) the Halloween films is actually a modified, bleached facial mask of William Shatner, of Star Trek fame. The shirt says, "Slay all day."
