I would argue that working in any administration in the White House is a privilege, not the other way around.

The other day I saw a guy wearing a Dennis rodman picture on his shirt, and I asked him why he was wearing the picture of the father of a famous soccer player. He didn't really get it.

The way I see it, I definitely need to look both ways because the person going the wrong direction is the more dangerous one.

It's also helpful if you can't remember which books of a series you already own, so that when you're at the used bookstore you don't end up buying a third copy of book four (ask me how I know).

Like the level of public discourse (normalized insults, lies, and just the juvenile nature of communication), the current administration has lowered the bar and I fear that if it ever comes back, it will take a long, long time.

In Japan, May 4th is also Greenery Day, so it's a nice coincidence.

It's a good thing you didn't forget the first element of punctuation. That would have changed the entire conversation.

I think the snow in this picture emphasizes the round contours and seems to link the parked cars to the museum.

From the article: a US attack on Greenland, in effect one member turning against another, would mean “the end of Nato." The problem with this statement is that it was used as a deterrent, but I think Trump would love an excuse to dissolve the alliance.

For years cash was king in Japan, but there's been a dramatic switch in the last four or five years. Now it's credit cards, apple pay, paypay, even suica cards that are hugely popular, at least in the larger cities (it may be different in the countryside or small towns).

“Hunting massive machines was one of the greatest appeals of the original Horizon series. And now, we’re expanding that experience into the world of MMORPGs.” I happen to think that the stealth elements were the best parts of the first two games (among my favorite games of all time).

As I read several years ago, perhaps Clarence Thomas would be at a loss to explain how Obergefell v. Hodges (same-sex marriage) was improperly argued but Loving v. Virginia (interracial marriage) was perfectly ok.

Here's another angle to worry about when we're discussing DOD strikes on boats in the Caribbean because "they're drug traffickers." What happens when Russia claims that boats in the Black Sea (or the Bering Sea!) are drug traffickers or terrorists?

My best advice if you're trying to get rid of a particular song is to hum or whistle a different song that is similar to the first song, as that seems to loosen the first song's grip on my brain. (Of course, if the second song is now stuck you might need to find a third song ad infinitum...)

The biggest problem I had with it was ***Sort of spoiler alert*** After about 20 minutes of the movie, if you've seen the trailers, it's not much of a stretch to figure out how it's going to play out. Otherwise, mostly enjoyed it for the reasons mentioned above.
