One of the biggest problems in social media is how the powers-that-be throttle and suppress viable content and magnify posts that contain misinformation, are absent of critical thinking, or that dull one's cognition. Be careful what you amplify.

The discipline has pivoted to preferring output over business outcomes. The bottom line, however, is that output DOES NOT generate or maintain competitive advantage. Faux UX will eventually "bite" its devotees.

UX is practically the only discipline where people randomly claim viable concepts to be outdated — often out of perceived advantages from doing so. People are basically ushering in MORE anarchy. As a group, we need to be better at acknowledging and honoring our past.

According to many workplace psychology and consulting experts, high performers tend to make others a little uncomfortable. It's not because of abusive behavior, BUT because of what qualifies them. And many companies avoid hiring high performers (and sacrifice the benefits) for this very reason.
