Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 45mNonsense. Fleas commonly carry Yersinia pestis to humans. What matters is the density of interactions. Below shows the incident of humans contracting the plague (primarily by fleas from prairie dogs) in Colorado over a 16 year period. 000

Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 08/09/2026Swam 12 laps; set up oil change appointment on Friday; laid out epub version of Trifles 1:3. I need to add the illustrations. I do the sizing and placement of illustrations manually. 020
Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 04/09/2026Scene from 1936 movie Romeo & Juliet. In the center we have 2 Sherlocks & the father of a 3rd. John Barrymore (left), Leslie Howard (center - rather of Ronald Howard), Basil Rathbone (right). 040
Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 28/08/2026In the "I hear of Sherlock everywhere category": I saw these at the grocery store yesterday. I think each ball contains bricks that you use to build the tiny book which has a secret item inside. 040
Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 27/08/2026Here's the first draft of the cover of Trifles issue 3. The ad on the back still needs some clean up & I have to start putting the issue together tomorrow. I also have the paper proof of Shadow of the Storm to go over by this weekend. We've been working on promo for that, too. 130
Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 20/08/2026I use Victorian ads on the back of my little journal which debuted in March. 020
Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 06/08/2026I had to go out and photograph our young oak trees and their acorn crop. They were about 6 feet tall when they were planted here in 2017. It looks like they will have a good crop of acorns despite the heat. Note the iron acorns & oak leaves on the buildings which are about 60 years old. 020
Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 05/08/2026No, he doesn't. The court ruled the case was collusive and any such "settlement" would be illegal. I really don't give a damn what TB says. 100
Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 04/08/2026A lot of people seem to have forgotten that the court issued an order regarding the so-called settlement. www.courtlistener.com/docket/72207... 010

Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 07/05/2026They had an office in NYC until 1898 and after that assigned the USA rights to books they published to US publishing houses. In this case maybe they had too many books in storage in the UK and shipping them to the USA to be sold by St Martin's Press was a better deal than paying the storage. 220
Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 28/04/2026🧵 I am now the owner of JF Christ's An Irregular Chronology. I've read it before but it is easier to argue with in person. The 2nd picture is his Canons or rules. In the 1st Canon he is saying the clue to the sate of the case must be read as if you were reading it at the date of the publication. 1/ 210

Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 29/03/2026post off the rivet. You can hardly see the rivets on the carpet. I went upwards along the side nearest the sliding door behind the passenger seat (off the left edge of this picture taken just after I installed them in 2013). There it was easy to find places where I could safely drill the holes. 110

Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 10/03/2026I find a lot of books on the history of Scotland Yard leave out details. Many gloss over the 1876 Detectives Scandal (aka the Turf Fraud) that lead to the creation of the CID. The trial of the detectives was a huge deal at the time. 020
Darlene Cypser @darlenecypser.com · 23/02/2026I bought these for $5 a piece (plus each frame was $1) 48 years ago. The scans do not show very well all the tiny cuts in the black paper that makes the silhouettes. 110
