please understand. artists don't get nearly as much feedback (praise, comments or otherwise) as you think they do. much less than years and years ago. we don't know how much you like it. we don't know how it affected you. unless you say something, or recommend it, comment, reblog. anything.

I’m a character artist. I’m used to painting skin and hair and clothes... soft textures, basically. I found out the hard way that this approach does not work for rocks. Unless you want them to look like weirdly shiny flesh blobs instead 🤔

I don’t “network,” I make friends. Other artists are not my competition, they’re my beloved peers and sources of inspiration. We all have the same goal; to share our art. I’m not gonna corporatize my human relationships with them. I am in my sandbox playing and I hope they join me.

Everyone who tried to draw around me and started drawing LOVED it at the beginning because of their QUICK IMPROVEMENT. Then quit when they hit The Wall™️. But it's when you hit The Wall™️ that you NEED to push through with practice!! And you gotta do it for yourself, because it's ALWAYS worth it! 😤

Drew Olympic Figure Skaters LOPAREVA Evgeniia / BRISSAUD Geoffrey. They used Blue from Eiffel 65 amongst others and I just really liked their set. Wish I'd been able to grab more screenshots of specific moves that really highlighted their personality. But I can't watch it back anymore. ;-;

Going through old art reminded me of how much I enjoyed drawing gemstones in the past. So I tried my hand at it again. This time I kept my brush strokes looser.

A digital drawing of a rounded rectangle cut blue sapphire. You can see individual brushstrokes. The background is blurry geometric brushstrokes that don't depict anything in particular.

Made for the 2025 Invisible Inc Datalog Exchange. The reveal is finally here which means I can also share the drawings here! I had tons of fun making art for people. Spend the most time on the SharpxTony art. I struggled on the faces a lot, but I think I did well in the end. ^^

Nika Muratova standing in an action ready pose with her hand on the ground and a disruptor swinging behind her. The background is a blurry cityscape through abstract windows.

Sharp the android man looming over Tony Xu, whom is sitting down on a crate. Sharp has one hand resting on the wall, digging clawmarks in the metal right behind Tony's head. Tony looks up at sharp with a nervous laugh.

Girl with two big pigtails, left side of her hair being blue and right side being green. Her hair is crystallized. She wears a blue dress with suspenders, a yellow blouse and blue slippers. A choker with a flower, and flowers in her eyes. She's surrounded by star stickers.

A pony running through a green field with mountains in the background. The pony has a dusty brown coat, with a dark brown mane and tail with a peekabo red colour underneath. The red looks crystaline. The entire coat has slight crystasliline splotches to it. The eyes are red, the pony is smiling.

Took me several tries to figure out the pose. And even longer to get all the scales in. I actually started lineless and added lines later for clarity. The crystal isn't as pronounced, but it's all over the scales and wings. #artfight2025 By artfight.net/character/4433155.brig…

Drawing of a sand coloured dragon with sun markings in his wings. The wings let through light and look crystaline. Their scales look crystaline. They're wearing a eight-pointed star necklace with a turqoise gem, have turqoise eyes and wear bands of silver and green-blue around their horns. They're standing in a grassy field with a blue sky behind them.

Went all out on this one trying to get all the details in there. I ended up making the crystaline hair a bit more understated because I thought it'd get too busy otherwise. My hand is cramped, but I think it came out really cool. ^^ Character By artfight.net/~lynamine

Character with trenchcoat, baggy t-shirt, and long baggy pants with stripes leaning against a wall. Their hair is long and flowing behind them looking crystaline.

Because this character canonically gets turned to crystal, I thought it'd be fun to do a more statue-esque pose. I ended up deciding not to crystalize everything as it was getting too busy. #artfight2025 Character By artfight.net/~Mythic_the_nuisance

Crystalizing something that already has a bright white fur was quite the challenge. But I think it came out super sparkly and fun looking. I also aimed for a cute pose that gave a sense of movement and using the wings. Character By artfight.net/~lotusdoodles
