White claims that he is friends w Trump bcz Trump supported the UFC when no one would Bro - u were literally competitors. Ofc WaPo doesn't report this White in 2009: “You got the Trumps...guys who think it’s cool to be in the fight business and don’t know a f--in’ thing about the fight business.”
Full Dana White quote about Trump in 2009:

“You got the Trumps, [Mark] Cuban, t-shirt guys — whoever it is that have some money that want to get into it. It’s a bunch of guys who think it’s cool and hip to be in the fight business and don’t know a f---in’ thing about the fight business.”

Like giving Konsta a shot. Find out what you have! I'm just a rando obviously, but I cannot figure out Schenn decision. 2nd percentile defensively in the league is borderline impressively poor (Metsa 88th percentile fwiw) And Habs have last change to boot. Hutson Suzuki et al vs Schenn? 🫣

Makes me think of Monsignor Jefferson Wicks in Wake Up Dead Man - authority that uses morality as a weapon instead of a guide Tremendous movie. A funny, entertaining, beautiful work of art that has a lot to say about the state of the world; truly timely and topical

Everyone wants the Strait open But you don’t get credit for “saving” the house after you set it on fire and burn a bunch of rooms down This is a disastrous loss no matter what What am I missing?
Hormuz: Iran can hold the global economy hostage

Regime behavior: War empowers Iran’s hardliners

Nuclear: Strengthens the case for nuclear deterrence

Deterrence: Asymmetric disruption can blunt U.S. conventional superiority

U.S. credibility: America: powerful tactically, strategically reckless

I see a place where people get on and off the freeway. On and off, off and on all day, all night. Gas stations, inexpensive motels, restaurants that serve rapidly prepared food. Automobile dealerships and wonderful, wonderful billboards reaching as far as the eye can see My God, it'll be beautiful

New photo of the Artemis return just came out (Used a little photo editing 😊)
Updated photo to remove the boat in the background

Artemis II Return
NASA's Orion spacecraft carrying Artemis II Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialist Christina Koch from NASA, along with Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen from the CSA (Canadian Space Agency), splashes down in the Pacific Ocean near San Diego, California, at 5:07 p.m. PDT, (8:07 p.m. EDT) on Friday, April 10, 2026. The Artemis II test flight launched on Wednesday, April 1, from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida to begin its 10-day journey around the Moon for scientific discovery, economic benefits, and to build on our foundation for the first crewed missions to Mars. NASA’s Landing and Recovery team and the U.S. military are coordinating efforts to extract the Artemis II crew from the Orion spacecraft. Credit: NASA/Josh Valcarcel

The President characterizes the "Save Christmas" effort as one of the foundational cultural victories of his political career, framing it as a direct challenge to what he describes as "woke" corporate and social policies.
Restoring the Word "Christmas": He claims that prior to his intervention, department stores and public entities had replaced specific holiday greetings with generic alternatives. He notes: "I was told I wasn't told I sew it all over but they were department stores weren't used they'd have the red wall but it never say merry Christmas they wouldn't say anything or say happy new year but they never talked about Christmas and I said we're going to bring back the word Christmas so we did we brought it back".

My comment on the article below The NYT does a lot of good reporting but then undermines so much of that w evasive headlines and BS articles like this one It's maddening That said, it's more important we figure out how to reach people who don't consume news -- that cohort was +20 Trump in '24
This article is built around an unsupported claim: that progressives mistook protests for popular support and failed to build real organizing. It offers no evidence for either assertion.

• It ignores that the 2017 protest wave trained 26,000+ women candidates, helped defeat ACA repeal, and contributed to Democrats’ 40-seat House gain in 2018.

• The quoted “expert” warns against thinking “costumes win elections.” But that’s a straw man. No serious organizer thinks costumes win elections.

It's so disappointing to see the NYT recycle lazy, unsupported critiques while erasing one of the most successful protest-to-organizing conversions in recent history.

I saw this screenshot of a point made over on the hellsite Disastrously, this strikes me as not only plausible, but maybe even likely - bullshiting to assuage the market and buy time before he launches a land invasion
HealthRanger:

LOL. Trump is now PRETENDING to negotiate with Iran so he can say they've agreed to almost everything, in order to push oil prices lower for a few more days.

His new "5-day" delay lines up perfectly with a planned U.S. Marines landing assault after the close of markets on Friday, at which time Trump will claim Iran backed out of the (imaginary) negotiations, and thus we had to land Marines to take the Straight by force.

That's what's shaping up here. Don't be fooled by Trump's false claims of negotiations. It's all theater for gullible Fox News idiots.

Ha. You're not wrong tho. Great outcome, process - still can learn Game turned after the first TB goal A little frustrating because it was such a basic mistake. Carrick, as F3, got way out of position Strange mess up, cuz it's so basic. From there it was then 5-1 TB in 5v5 goals Huge rally tho

Metsa has interestingly been a positive from a do no harm standpoint I know some games Stanley was pushed up the lineup. Overall, 17 mins a night vs below avg competition - bottom third at .28 and .35 - with above avg QoT defensively All together, Stanley rates in the 0.9th percentile defensively

Look, I know Savoie was flipped for McLeod, but anytime you can trade a 2nd and a former 14th overall pick for two of the worst defensemen in the league who make your team worse if they touch the ice, you gotta do it /s (2nd and 0.7th percentile defensively. Holy smokes. Dreadful. Distressing 💀)
Logan Stanley and Luke schenn stats. Unfortunately two of the worst defenseman in the entire league

Public transportation was shut down across the country following corporate acquisitions by GM et al and a massive federal pivot toward highways Created a car-centric society that entrenched suburban sprawl, fractured urban communities, and established a dependency on personal vehicles that persists
Eddie Valiant: So that's why you killed Acme and Maroon? For this freeway? I don't get it.

Judge Doom: Of course not. You lack vision, but I see a place where people get on and off the freeway. On and off, off and on all day, all night.

I'm coming to realize that The Christmas Adventurers Club is actually real Pretty dystopian
The "Christmas Adventurers Club" (CAC) is a satirical secret society from One Battle After Another, representing a shadowy, ultra wealthy, Christian Nationalist white supremacist group of elites. The club is a dark parody of real world powerful groups, using humor and absurdity (like their "Hail Saint Nick" greeting) to critique fascism and inequality.

Members: C suite executives, billionaires, politicians, and military officials who maintain power through secrecy and wealth.

Obviously very helpful breakdown One part I do not understand: why is it okay for the agent to have unholstered his gun? Furthermore, it should be made more clear: as soon as the agent sees that his colleague is removing a gun from Alex, he draws his gun and shoots Alex about 1.5 seconds later
1. Agent in black hat watching his colleagues hands searching Alex's waistband 2. Realizes that his colleague is taking a gun from the waistband and immediately goes to draw his gun 3. Shuffles a couple feet as he begins to aim the gun eventually right at Alex 4. Now at 12 o'clock to us, agent decides to shoot Alex. This is the moment of the first shot. Akex is on his knees, facing 3 o'clock

Damn, I just noticed the unfortunate choice for their headline The Times does such great reporting, but they're so often both sidesing in many of their headlines to the extent that they obfuscate the facts/truth I have family members who've been misled because they often can only read the heds
The Times article finds the truth but they make sure not to relay the truth/finding in the headline
