I ran a totally silly Xmas D&D one-shot last night featuring a mix of Die Hard, 80’s movies, high-fantasy and Xmas tropes. It ended with Princess Leia casting Thunderwave on Krampus Gruber who was stood on the roof of Wizard Nakatomi’s Tower. He rolled a natural 1 on his save and fell to his death.

Dark All Day launched over two weeks ago and afterwards I almost immediately got flu and have been out of commission ever since. It was almost like my body told me that it had had enough and it was time to take a break. But I plan to get back on track with new content coming soon.

In the new Quinns Quest review of Slugblaster, Quinns says he thinks rpg folks are largely shit at telling stories. Paraphrasing: "We have spent decades arguing over dice systems, XP, world building. We've spent hardly any time on what makes a good character or the shape stories traditionally take."
