Probably should have posted this on the music account, not on main. Oh well, the album is good regardless and can be found at this link: bricolageglasgow.bandcamp.com/album/sarno-...

So I'm going through my Bandcamp collection and selecting favorite tracks/writing blurbs for basically everything. It's a lengthy list, but I'm starting with Remute and Kayla Painter. Then we'll move on to the cassettes from Timeslave Recordings, then the stuff from Liquicity.

Some news: 1) obtained 100 used minidiscs - keeping 6 as-is, mailing 1 wtf one to my fiancee's buddy, 92 will be wiped and reused here; 10 already have been 2) obtained a case (10x 10-pack/100 discs) of 3" CD-Rs in jewel cases 3) MiniDisc Factory™️ is running in a Win2K VM. It works.

yooooo I was lucky on a download code from @retroreverbrecords.bsky.social this time! I got 'The fall' by Sonic Spells (linked here) and am now off to buy the full album. Love the sound of this track.

Currently playing @robertparker.bsky.social's Crystal City. So glad that @timeslaverec.bsky.social was able to put this cassette out as I missed the vinyl (both times) years ago through NRW. Shout out to @mrglennjones.bsky.social for the gorgeous box art. 10/10, recommend this reissue.

I'm a classy individual who has a Sony Walkman plugged into an Onkyo HiMD stereo receiver, below, to play Robert Parker's Crystal City on cassette. The outer box is sitting on the stereo, done up to look like a Sega Master System game with some truly great artwork. 10/10, my description blows but the album and packaging are incredible.

Timecop 1983's Journeys is currently helping me through an uneventful (professionally speaking, at least,) Friday afternoon. Totally dig the Sega packaging and SMS-themed cassette case/J-cards in the Masters of Outrun box sets. Still unsure if I put the big box with my Sega games or music tho lol

left: Timecop 1983's Journeys, as a Sega Master System game case with really nice artwork. Palm trees, and it smells like the mid-80s.

Upper right: the Journeys cassette case, black with a red grid label like Sega Master System cartridges had a hundred and four years ago.

Lower right: my fiancee's Sony Walkman WM-EX2 cassette player. Appreciate you leaving this home today, my love!

So I split my presence here, as my primary account is entirely too political now. Expect to see a lot of nonsense about my many, many minidiscs. Also, expect me to tally my 2024 Bandcamp purchases. That's one site/service that I wish did a wrapped or year in review for users.

Just casually hooking my Atari Jaguar to my stereo to play Remute's There Is Hope. Definitely worth the effort - Virus is my fav track so far, but that's subject to change as we finish the album.

An Atari Jaguar console is on the floor in front of a 2x2 cube unit containing records, with a turntable and head unit on top of the cubes. The Jag is plugged into the stereo to play Remute's There Is Hope album.

I have Digital Bubblebath in right now to help with my workday - really enjoying it. Back to the Carpet goes on my list of 'notable mention' songs. Can't wait for There Is Hope and Unity (for GBA) to arrive in several days!

My old DSi XL, playing Remute's Digital Bubblebath. Upper screen is a short loop of descending a spiral staircase (and changes with tracks) and lower screen is the track listing. My Life Is A Loop was playing when photo was taken.

I'd definitely believe Mike Park on this. Ordering my copy shortly after posting this :)

I manged to pick this up before it sold out to add to my growing stack of Remute minidiscs. I only picked up, oh, everything he had in print or reprinted 😅 It was a good year, from a minidisc purchasing perspective.

Seven Remute albums (upper row: Limited, Chadification, Millennial EP, The Orgy; lower row: Computer Communication, Theme Tunes for 10 Games Never Made, SMRTPHONE #0)

Obligatory, "not a record, but..." the minidisc copies of this are just gorgeous. Standout tracks, for me, are You're All I've Got, Stay In My Sight, and Excuses. Definitely worth opening a tab and checking this out on Bandcamp.

All That Remains by New Arcades on minidisc. The album artwork, which i cannot adequately describe, has been printed on the MD.

I've ordered this, too. Hard to pick a fav track, but Silver Screen Cruising and '85 Again (w/ Miss K) get special mention. Cannot wait to pop this in the tape deck when it arrives :)

My physical copy is still in transit, but my fav track from streaming the album is Never Lose It. Can't wait to dust off my Atari Jaguar and pick up a copy of There Is Hope next.
