I'm very happy AC8 turned out to be so damn good. I'm not sure if it's better than 7 to me, I gotta sit on those feelings and process it. But wow, what a breathtaking and beautiful game. The inspirations behind it are VERY clear imo but helped it a lot. I very, very highly recommend it.

I got to beat Ace Combat 8, and that'll probably be my personal GOTY pick. It just barely beat out Onimusha Way if the Blade for me and definitely beat out RE9. I'd like to try out Fire Emblem, 007, and Control Resonant, but I probably won't get to them for a long while.

Time to start flooding a hard drive and some back up thumbdrives with libraries of music again and CD's I used to have so damn much music stored away and I think most of it has been lost over the years on laptops that have gone out and lost storage devices. There might be some traces somewhere tho

Okay. So... We finished Gears 4 last night. What the fuck was that. That ending so fucking abrupt. What the fuck was that game. We hated it even more than Judgement by the end lol We started to Gear 5 afterwards immediately. It was already 100 times better, and we're actually enjoying it already.

It may as well be. I have absolutely zero faith and trust in them. I don't want to see the "CoD-ification" of Halo and I sincerely doubt there is ANYTHING that they could do on par with the original Halo trilogy. It may as well be dead if they're going to disrespect it to that extreme.

Have LOVED to see more Halo content without Master Chief too. Focused on ODST perspectives, on UNSC and other species relations like working with the Sangheili, exploring places like Onyx and other forerunner facilities, etc... There was lots and lots of content to explore. Tons of it.

It's honestly a bit frustrating cause some of the books have shown *VERY* interesting stories and sides. And I think they potentially had something interesting with the Brutes and the Banished. But they just ruined it with the whole Guardians, the Prometheans, and rampant AI plots. Tbh, I would...

Of Activision Blizzard being out in charge and its being said that they're immediately scrapping and completely rebooting all of Halo, there's no bigger "Aaannd you COMPLETELY fucking lost me." Greater than that. I don't know or care what they do with Halo; it's going to be fucking awful guaranteed.

Yeah. They definitely hit a certain point of "MoDeRn GaMiNg" and its painfully clear. Gears 4 lately has been a pretty painful one to stomach currently. Halo's has been one of the worst to see though. And I know I said that 'ANYONE' would be better with Halo but after the recent news that came out>

So many franchises took really bad hits in the 2010's it seems. Halo under 343, Gears post 3, Dead Space 3, Mass Effect Andromeda, fear 3, crackdown 3, Lost planet 3, Dead Rising 4, RE6, Red Faction Armageddon, Force Unleashed 2, etc...

I'm genuinely hoping 5 turns out to be much better tbh. We are honestly just suffering through 4 so far, about 80% through it. We both dont like anything about it, honestly. Not the characters, not the story, not the gameplay feeling like it mostly has regressed once again, the reused sequences, etc

We honestly couldn't even handle Judgement. As soon as we unlocked the Aftermath DLC, we played through that, then uninstalled the game. It made a lot of bizarre changes to the gameplay, the characters didn't feel like themselves, it quickly just felt so unknowable for the both of us, unfortunately.

I honestly thought that after beating 3, that it was a perfect conclusion to the trilogy, and that no more is needed at all after that! And now that we are like 80% of the way through 4, there's genuinely just no redeeming qualities here for this game whatsoever. At all. *Nothing* for it.

We couldn't even finish Judgement cause of how much it bothered us. It had such a terrible gameplay loop, bad story, bad mechanics... And now 4 has us just grinding our teeth through it so far. It just felt like a prime example of so much that can be bad about modern gaming tbh.

Holy fucking SHIT. Okay. I gotta ask this to everyone: Has anyone binged the whole Gears of War franchise? Ive been playing it with a friend. 1-3 was pretty great. Each one was better than the last... Then we played Judgement. It's insufferably bad. Now we are on 4, and it's miserable.
