Got it on day one of Covid vaccine season. Honestly if flu season goes on late also, I’ll just get a second dose.

Walking here was definitely “special” what with sidewalk repair, not posted, and no adjacent traffic calming provided.

Sidewalk slab replacement, the slab is missing and the sidewalk blocked

Tonight in Pawtucket, Rhode Island FC takes on Indy Eleven. Frank Nodarse’s 100th match, and backup keeper Jacob Castro’s first start, since Koke Vegas is serving his red card suspension.

010

Rail enthusiast wife Daria @dariaphoebe.com · 9h

Same, but I want to hear it. Just tell me directly

130

Rail enthusiast wife Daria @dariaphoebe.com · 9h

Yup. I figured. Wonder if they can point to which specific mayoral action he took that caused it. (Spoiler: no)

120

Rail enthusiast wife Daria @dariaphoebe.com · 9h

Well, they cancelled while Smiley was still mayor of Providence, so, looking forward to him taking the blame, surely, right?

Rail enthusiast wife Daria @dariaphoebe.com · 9h

I went to look. I’m not blocked. But I have no idea wtf.

Ok but that parade is SF and the fog yields plenty of days without sunshine 😬

Rail enthusiast wife Daria @dariaphoebe.com · 9h

My brain breaking for a moment as I tried to figure out if this was miles or kilometers.

(For the non-locals who wonder what I am talking about, it’s this street)

Yesterday I did a dry run of the folding bike to the train station to see how long the trip plus the fold would take. On the way home I got a flat on the scrap-laden Allens Ave and now I am wondering where I can find local bike community to operate bike lane sweepers and plows if I donate equipment

Rail enthusiast wife Daria @dariaphoebe.com · 14h

Oh damn. Wish I’d realized this over the summer when I was there

020

Rail enthusiast wife Daria @dariaphoebe.com · 14h

Oh god. Places that refuse to pay for music are going to start using this at some point to avoid paying ASCAP/BMI/SESAC fees and a moment will come when it will be a place I can’t just decide to not patronize cuz I won’t have a choice.

In 2006 I went on a trip that included a leg that was Columbus-Birmingham-Columbus, and was *shocked* to see metric distance “big green signs” on the Gene Snyder Freeway. Really? Kentucky? Anyway it was old signage that was nearing replacement and was going to be replaced with mile based signs.
