My older brother just told me they recently closed Rudy’s Chicken in Oak Cliff after 30 years of operation, and I’m so upset because I thought I was going to get some when I went home soon. I used to love that 2 piece meal.

I hate the reality, but a lot of stuff is simply explained by racism and anti-Blackness. No matter how many hoops that are jumped through to avoid being called racist, that is the core reason for a lot.

Randomly decided to watch ‘Boston Legal’ and this plastic surgeon getting sued because he was using his own ass fat to inject into patients’ lips and had the nerve to call it the “good stuff” 😭

Really think outside of brand pages folks should really get back to treating social media like the micro-blog it was meant to be.

My only take on BAFTA is that while something may have not been intentionally racist it doesn’t mean it’s not racist. So many people care more about being called racist than the harm of racism. Context matters but it’s still does not change the harm to those on the receiving end.

‘The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins’ pilot was 8/10 for me! It’s like if ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ and ‘Modern Family’ had a baby (complimentary).

Happy Valentine’s Day! My love got my favorite things, including this lovely card he designed, based on this inside joke we have from a ‘Once Upon A Time’ rewatch we did. I love you, Mike, and thank you for loving me! ☺️💕

Tonight was fabulous! I’m so honored to have been part of WACO’s initiative to bring ‘Still Here’ magazine to life and include the experiences of Black trans women living with HIV (like myself). Meeting Miss Tina was lovely and tied the night altogether! ❤️

It’s becoming common that jobs ask if you are Transgender on job applications. And I really don’t think that’s information matters in the grand scheme of being qualified to do the job or not. It seems to be just another way to weed out candidates due to their identity.

This administration & its ilk used trans folks as a political hot topic, stripping our rights to deflect from the reality that they are the real pedophiles & danger to children. And it’s so disheartening that, no matter what continues to come out, they won’t be held accountable.

011

Daria 💕 @dariacott.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

Rounding up journalists isn’t very pro-First Amendment. And it’s not something we should ignore that this administration is doing. This is not a good precedent and it infringes on our inalienable rights.

There’s some queer subtext there about having to hide who you truly are to navigate the world safely without scrutiny for your identity. #WonderMan

Parasocial relationships are the hot topic these days. Here’s an old cover story I wrote on the subject that’s become the contemporary piece on the matter. It even includes 1st hand accounts of stans in different fandoms. www.essence.com/of-the-essen...

I just realized that since Josh Gad & ‘Frozen’ are canon in the MCU, he won’t be voicing Olaf in the upcoming film in their universe (for reasons). Hmm wonder who they recast him with?

000

Daria 💕 @dariacott.bsky.social · 28/01/2026

I enjoyed that a lot, actually. I like when comic book media leans into what other aspects of life look like in a world of superheroes. Of course, not every powered individual wants to be a vigilante, so what if they wanted to be an actor or something else? That’s #WonderMan

You pick a publication like the WSJ for an “apology” to make sure advertisers and sponsors see it (hopes of being brand-safe again). That’s my input on the subject matter.

A film receiving multiple award nominations across different categories is simply the acknowledgment that the project put together a great team. These are professional awards the public just so happens to have access to. It’s like you receiving the biggest award in your industry.

Been in the weeds all week working on another show’s episodic marketing and figuring out some stuff for my art shop business. The way I crashed when I got off work, I just went straight to sleep. I needed that rest real bad.

Good morning, I’ve officially worked on the marketing for the most-nominated film at the Oscars ever, with ‘Sinners’ receiving 16 nominations.

Someone told they didn’t even know I could draw yesterday and I told them I minored in art (was a double major but decided to graduate early because I got into grad school at USC) and been in art shows too. They were like now why you ain’t ever shared this with folks. I am now 😅

Recently discovered weightlifting is actually kind of fun

021

Daria 💕 @dariacott.bsky.social · 02/01/2026

High weight and low reps for lower body(I do 25-85 lbs depending on the workout) and low weight and high reps for upper body (I do 5-10 lbs). As a runner who was stagnant this helps a lot!

010

Daria 💕 @dariacott.bsky.social · 02/01/2026

Dolls, I promise it's okay to pick up weight and not just do cardio. I know you have doubts (I did too), but I incorporated weights in my workouts and after a long plateau and started seeing results and feeling better.
