The First Berserker: Khazan Rating: S It's awesome whenever soulslikes remember that they are allowed to have good combat. It helps that this was clearly inspired by Nioh specifically which might explain why its as fun as it is. We need more games that take after Nioh.

Treasure Planet (Rewatch) Rating: S In a perfect world this made a morbillion dollars and got multiple other entries including a low budget TV series.

Heatwarped Demo Rating: A You would think the NFS Underground inspiration is in the aesthetic, but that's where you're wrong. its the traffic secretly being government agents that have got me in their sights, turning the corner at the right time to tbone me, or materialising in blind spots.

000

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Now You See Me: Now You Don't Rating: A Definitely a step up from the previous movie, not as good as the first one but this was still a fun time. I need 5 billion more wizard heist movies please, you can never make me hate them.

000

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Now You See Me 2 (Rewatch) Rating: B Not as good as the first one but its fun for what it is. Has issues with the writing and pacing but the hype moments and aura of all the tricks is still fun. They might be actual sorcerers tho.

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Smallville Season 7 (Rewatch) Rating: A One of the weaker post high-school seasons but it does have some bangers mixed in here.

010

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Rating: A This feels like one of their best attempts at making a movie connected to the rest of the MCU while still mostly being its own thing. Good movie.

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

The Furious (Rewatch) Rating: S Yeah this is still peak, that final act is incredible, how the hell did they pull that off?

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

Power Rangers (Rewatch) Rating: C This is the ultimate surf dracula movie that is also embarrassed of the source material. I think this would be better if it wasn't called Power Rangers, but not by much.

010

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

The Furious Rating: S DUDE. These characters might be some of the most durable characters in fiction holy shit. Absolutely wild fight choreo here, and those final 30ish minutes are fucking mental. I wish I could have seen this in theatres.

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game (Beta) Rating: S This game has got the juice. I'm glad its hard as fuck because it makes it so much fun to learn and get better at. Looking forward to the full release but man I hope that it isn't dead on arrival in Australia, I need this to do well.

010

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

Army of Darkness Rating: B This dude can never catch a break, but at least the horrors he must endure are slapstick dipshits, so that's gotta take some of the edge off.

010

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Obsession Rating: A I cringe and get second hand embarrassment and anxiety super easy so I don't know why I thought it would be a good idea to subject myself to the most viscerally uncomfortable experience for 90 minutes. Great movie, idk if I would watch it again though.

010

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

Mortal Kombat 2 Rating: A Before watching the movie: Karl Urban was a bad choice for Johnny Cage. After watching the movie: Karl Urban was a bad choice for Johnny Cage. That aside, this movie is just hype moments and aura, and regrettably it did in fact work on me. I need Kenshi next movie please.

The Pretty Reckless - Dear God Rating: S Aside from the goat For I Am Death, they saved all the other best songs for the full release. Dragonfire goes fucking crazy dude. Also big thanks to Spell on You for being a Hex Girls song in big 2026. I feel like this might end up being my fave TPR album.

010

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

000

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 15/06/2026

A Million Ways to Die in the West (Rewatch) Rating: B Its a 2 hour Family Guy episode. It's better whenever its not trying to gross you out as much as possible.

Onimusha Way of the Sword Demo Rating: A I'm glad that Onimusha is back but its kinda sad to see the clear Souls/Sekiro influence here (I still like those but they are oversaturated). It feels like the RE influences are missing but I'm hoping that is just a demo thing, still had a great time overall

000

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

Ted 2 (Rewatch) Rating: A This movie cannot convince me that this many people want to fuck Mark Wahlberg.

020

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 30/05/2026

Ted (Rewatch) Rating: B It's still fine. Some jokes land, a lot don't, it also aged as well as you could expect a comedy from 2012 to. It could have been a lot worse all things considered.

000

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 25/05/2026

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween Rating: B The children yearn for the Chucky TV series.

000

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Pizza Movie Rating: B You can tell they really like the Scott Pilgrim movie, there were multiple scenes/jokes that were either identical or had extremely similar editing. Some good bits in here tho

010

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 20/05/2026

The Boys Season 5 Rating: B This was kinda messy and it felt like it had poor pacing while also not knowing what ideas it wanted to commit to, but at least the finale was solid, even if it was a bit short. idk it felt like a lot of criticisms were massively overblown while ignoring the real flaws.

000

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 18/05/2026

Need for Speed: Underground (Replay) Rating: C Revisited for the 1st time in 20 years and I'm gonna be real, this game isn't very good. Love the vibes and music, but the tracks suck ass and oh my fucking god this has the worst rubberbanding I've ever seen, also the difficulty slider is cosmetic.

010

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 10/05/2026

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Rating: B Dawg Quentin we gotta talk my man, it's not even disguised anymore, the subtext is just text.

The Death of Superman (Rewatch) Rating: S Easily my fave version of this story. Really great fight choreography with good direction and solid animation, and does a good job of handling the emotional weight too.

000

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 02/05/2026

Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue Rating: C This was kinda whatever outside of the practical effects and the psychic baby.

010

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 30/04/2026

Tekken 4 (Replay) Rating: A Revisiting this reminded me that the gameplay changes were kinda wack but its okay because this entry is carried so hard by the vibes, idk how else to describe it. This Tekken Force was evil tho, I did not remember it being this hard.

000

Darby's Media Quarantine Zone @darbymedia.bsky.social · 28/04/2026

The Boys Season 4 Rating: B Crazy that at some points they just abandoned any subtext to namedrop something instead of tackling it with any nuance. Hughie also gets treated like absolute shit and they make a mockery out of his trauma too so yippee. Sage was really funny tho so they get some credit.
