{sqltargets} 0.3.0 just hit CRAN, now includes the ability to pass 'dbi' parameters into queries. Turns out using SQL with #rstats {targets} is pretty fun! github.com/daranzolin/s...

Finally checked the Use Native Pipe Operator RStudio #rstats option. For those constantly piping into [Vv]iew(), a small advantage to the native pipe is that the 'title' argument gets automatically supplied as the function call instead of the cryptic '.' from magrittr.

A measured, albeit slightly evasive response. I'm impressed!

People rightfully complain about the lack of density around Golden Gate Park, but IMO an even larger disgrace is Wilson Park in Cupertino. Beautiful park with the best 🏀 court, ample shaded grassy areas, and awesome playgrounds. All barely used. A colossal waste. Cupertino doesn’t deserve it.

All hail the glory of scales::label_wrap(): #rstats
library(tidyverse)
df <- tibble(
  x = c(
    "A very long and annoying label",
    "Yet ANOTHER longgggggg and extremely annoying label",
    "Again with the annoyingly long labels? Gah! Stop already!"
  ),
  y = 1:3
)

ggplot(df, aes(x, y)) +
  geom_col() +
  scale_x_discrete(labels = scales::label_wrap(width = 20))plot results

No becks???? Love the de Rosario pull, maybe the only mls player we actually connected with for whatever reason. This doesn’t feel quite right but the closest I could get.

The shell.duckdb.org is lowkey kind of sick. It was fairly trivial to rig a chrome extension that sends a datasf.org/opendata/ resource to the service and lets you explore away with SQL. #duckdb 😮‍💨 github.com/daranzolin/d...

It’s pretty bonkers that I can just mix and match #rstats and #sql and #duckdb. A real witches brew.

tar_change() is super flexible when kicking off some #rstats {targets} workflows. Small demo here: github.com/SFOEWD/targe...

Is this thing on? Do you use #rstats {targets}? Do you like to write SQL? Help me kick the tires on {sqltargets} an extension that simplifies including standalone SQL files in your data pipelines: github.com/daranzolin/s...
