Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 19/12/2025It only took them the best part of a decade. 🥲 Hope all the victims get justice and the people at the publisher who paid off the victims and covered his back are also held accountable. 0352

Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 15/10/2025Join myself and the insanely talented Matthew Forsythe in convo this October 28th at 7pm (gmt). 🤩 We’ll be talking about his journey from comics to animation to absolutely epic children’s books. It’s gonna be a vibe, be sure to get your drinks and snacks ready and put the date in your diary. ☺️ 1102
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 12/10/2025This is music to my ears, and it’s gonna be a feast for my eyeballs too. 🥹 2471
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 07/10/2025I need more artists and creatives to clock this for what it is and stop self identifying with this DEAD trope. It’s bad enough the rest of the world upholds this narrative, you don’t have to willingly do it to yourself. 23911
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 11/09/2025People are demanding we show empathy to a person whose whole career was built on spreading hate for anyone who wasn’t a straight white male. 😮💨 I’m just gonna leave this here, cos it sums this thing up better than I can right now. 0659298
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 26/08/2025Let me be clear, Julia makes good books. But an undeniable amount of these sales is also down to the way her books are literally given their own separate shelves and signage in EVERY high street bookstore in the country. These kind of numbers are bound to happen in that kinda set up. 1164
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 10/08/2025Just finished Dressrosa 😮💨 what an arc!! This guy is my new fave. ☺️ 030
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 29/07/2025All the violations to his memory that this brings to mind aside…I find myself increasingly seething at how our nostalgia continues to be exploited for profit and to pacify and distract us, while our very rights are stripped away bit by bit. 0408
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 21/07/2025In case you missed it, mines and @traceybaptiste.bsky.social’s new picture book dropped last week. 😊 SUPER GOAT GIRL is out everywhere books are sold in America and the UK. 🥹 Here are some highlights from the UK launch. 😊 1226
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 11/07/2025Drew the big blue boy scout for the first time last night while chopping it up with @studiohoffmann.bsky.social 🤓 Managed to sneak out to watch the movie this morning. Not a perfect movie, but most definitely a fun watch. Worth the cinema ticket. 😊 1446
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 06/07/2025There is no such thing as an “AI artist” 🫠 At best you’re a coward, at worst…you’re a thief. 🤷🏿♂️ 2297100
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 20/06/2025Zac Gorman’s Magical Game Time collection is such a brilliant comfort read for me. Dude had such an amazing way of tapping into aaall the nostalgia of growing up playing video games in the 90’s. 1100
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 17/06/2025I’ve also put together a little something exclusive for indie bookshop preorders, just to show love for stocking my books. Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 16/06/2025I haven’t seen nearly enough people talking about this. The levels of greed and inhumane thinking on display is actually terrifying. America really is dystopian as fuck. 1582963417
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 09/06/2025Advance copies are officially in the building!! 🥹 It’s been a hot minute since I’ve had something new to unbox 😅 and I’m so GASSED to have it be this book. 🤩 1293
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 09/06/2025All eyes on the Madleen. Israeli forces have just pretty much kidnapped the activists on this boat, when all they’re doing is trying to provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinians who are currently under Israeli attack. 0286
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 21/05/2025If this is true, it’s terrifying. I’m willing to bet money that a significant number of those children underperforming are Black and Brown children, especially if we’re going by the disproportionate numbers of them in jail as adults etc. 😮💨 271
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 15/05/2025People crack me up sometimes. I made a post about how we need to push back against the way companies are making it so we don’t actually own the things we pay full price for…and this guy wrote this. As if me saying this somehow takes away attention from the bigger issues happening in the world. 🫠 2272
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 15/05/2025This is actual BS. It is absolutely imperative that we push back against this move towards us not owning any of the media we pay full price for. Personally…I won’t be purchasing a Switch 2. These models lock you in in a way that’s completely manipulative and immoral. 412750
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 05/05/2025Today’s build. ☺️ Bought it for my bday and I’ll be building it today while catching up on one piece. 😮💨 2320
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 19/04/2025So much to say about this movie! But I’ll keep it short and spoiler free. Ryan Coogler is a brilliant storyteller. The movie combines is a loving and passion homage to Black history and culture wrapped in a thrilling package of vampiric horror. I wanted more of this world by the end. Go watch it! ☺️ 2432

Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 12/04/2025Saw this last night and I really enjoyed it. ☺️ I’ve always thought Unicorns, Hippos and Dolphins have the best PR 😅 glad to see them as the monsters they originally were. 😅 A very fun watch. 0110
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 07/04/2025Grabbed this on a bargain over the weekend. 🥹 it’s for for my bookshelf. 🤓 I have two more Lego sets I wanna grab and then I have to stop! 😮💨 cos this is getting to be an expensive habit. 😭 1290

Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 21/03/2025I was asked to write a foreword for a special edition of the absolute classic “Diary Of A Wimpy Kid” by the brilliant Jeff Kinney. ☺️ In celebration of Puffin‘s 85th anniversary, the publisher are releasing this special edition cloth bound collection of some of their most classic children’s books. 1302
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 20/03/2025But it’s the books about Black history and lgbtq people that Americans wanna ban? 0251
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 09/03/2025Libraries are so important for ALL children to have access to. Yet Lambeth council are about to cut £1M from the budgets of the libraries in their borough. We need your help to STOP this. I wrote an open letter to the council to try and get them to see the error of their decision. Please repost. 118284

Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 26/02/2025BIG Up Kate Bush and the other musicians who stepped up like this. I was surprised at the amount of creatives who didn’t realise that this affects ALL OF US! 17314
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 26/02/2025Nina Simone said it best… “An artist’s duty is to reflect the times” It’s on us to listen to that voice that’s calling us to action. 16425
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 22/02/2025Decided to start collecting hard copies of things I like again a while ago. Couldn’t find this on CD so I figured fuck it, now’s as good a time as any to start a Vinyl records collection. 😅 2441
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 17/02/2025It is ABSOLUTELY imperative that we do not allow our government to go ahead with their plans for AI. It’s very clear that they have ZERO desire to avoid the problems that rolling it out without regulation will inevitably cause. We need to push back on this. 122288
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 11/02/2025Society will really try and convince you that existing as pretty much a human battery is a decent way to live. 24110
Dapo Adeola @dapsdraws.bsky.social · 22/01/2025I spent the last couple of months going through my bookmarks and saving resources, but I finally left that other place. It’s been a long time coming, but that Nazi BS we all saw the other day from Musk was the ultimate last straw. 🤢 1460
