I think we grew up at the right time. We were there when Pong was born. I used to go to Dad’s work to use his work computer to play Star Trek games based in DOS. I liked being alive at the start of all of this.

Unfortunately, that's not the way the Constitution reads. I, too, think you would at least have to be charged with a crime first, but the language says "offenses against the United States." So the mere fact that you committed an offense is enough to warrant a pardon. We must change this.

1000 percent this. But I also think that we need to look at prosecuting state by state. The Presidential Pardon Power only extends to federal crimes; if charged with the same crimes at state level, the President cannot halt or upend the process. We just need state AGs with the balls to do so.

We are moving to Italy soon. Taxes are a bit higher, but not a ton. The National Health System is free for citizens and about $2400/year for foreigners living in nation. Know what they don't have? Medical debt as one of the top three things killing the US economy for young people.

The second part of this is that your EMS providers KNOW where you need to go. We all know where the best care lies, but most civilians do not. For example, there's a hospital that is always being requested in my area, but its not the best; its perceived as the best because its in a wealthier area.

Not sure about your area, but ambulance services I have worked for and volunteered for will take you wherever you want to go, within reason. We can't skip four closer hospitals to take you to the hospital you want to go to, but we don't have to take you to the closest one right off the bat.

I was just talking about this topic with my wife. We think that it has to do with how and how often content comes across their screens. For someone like me, who is empathetic and cares genuinely for other humans, a constant strain of human misery hitting me drives me into depression.

So let's see if I have this: Iran, which had no real national standing before we attacked, has gained international standing, is now able to charge $2 million per boat (will result in $1.6 billion in revenue they will split with Oman) which can be used for terrorism and that they didn't have before.
