I made a toxic sludge pool for Necromunda many years ago that turned out pretty slick, I think.

Got a #MESBG game day coming up, so I was inspired to paint some reinforcements for my goblins. Fell Wargs! #middle-earth

The Warboss from the Armageddon box is finally done. I love these new orks, they are so enjoyable to paint. And he's an absolute unit! #orks #warhammer #40k #armageddon #minipainting #miniaturepainter

How I paint checks: Use a piece of masking tape as a guide to make a grid of thin lines. Fill every other square. Covert left over lines with background colour. Add weathering (washes, sponging etc.) to tie it all together. 'Ere we gooo!

Made some terrain for the ships to fight over. Styrofoam balls from the hobby store stuck on bamboo skewers, a layer of plaster, then painted like gas giants. The lines on the first one were a little bit wonky, before I learned I could use a rubber band as a guide. #BFG #battlefleetgothic

Three model planets made out of styrofoam balls, painted like gas giants. A small blue one, a medium green one and a big orange one. A Chaos and an Imperial cruiser for scale in the foreground.

Painted my Chaos cruisers from the OG box set. I've left the antennas and possible dorsal weapons off for now because they seem a bit too fiddly to magnetise. Will decide on them later. #BFG #Battlefleetgothic

Little side project, decided to paint up the ships of the BFG box i bought at launch but never played. Recently a guy at the local club showed interest in BFG and I felt maybe the time has finally come. The Chaos cruisers are up next.

My first Space Marines, painted in 1991. I split a RBT01 box with a friend and I wanted to make my own chapter - The Grim Reapers. Never got around to putting them on bases though... and I apparently hadn't learned to thin my paints yet 😁

A 10 man squad of RTB01 plastic Space Marines painted as a custom chapter called The Grim Reapers. The chapter livery is black bodies and shoulder pads with dark red arms, legs and helmets and shiny metal trim. One Marine is holding a banner picturing a skull and two crossed scythes, with the name of the chapter and the motto "Taste my scythe"

Painted up the only (?) Ork release of 10th edition! Looking forward to 11th! Gave him a couple of fancy hair squigs to match my other two Big Meks and magnitized his gun (yea thanks GW for intentionally making it difficult with shared components) #warhammercommunity #minipainter #miniaturepainting

These fine gentlemen have been sitting built and primed on the shelf since summer, but now finally I got to give them some attention. Feels like ages since I painted Orks! Very quick and easy to paint compared to the Space Wolves, but maybe to a slightly lower standard.

I find that black is the most difficult colour to get right, especially on "hard" surfaces like a Space Marine. I tried painting Black Templars and it just didn't work 😅 I'm pretty happy with how my Balrog turned out though - organic shapes are easier (because you can drybrush them!)
