Second tune from my new record. Guess who it's about! I assume at the time of posting he's still alive

I had a fucking ball writing and recording the demo of this tune in February 2026. "Party hard like Andrew" particularly cracked me up - I figured a lot of people would assume I was talking about the prince (he was in the news a lot at the time) when really I was tipping my hat to the prince of partying himself, Andrew WK.

I will leave it up to you to decide who the song is targeted at. It's a bit vague.

Mmhmm. One day, hopefully soon. I kind of hoped it would have happened by now. Maybe it will between me writing this (early October 2026) and the album's release.

As for the recording, it uses most of the demo's original guitar as it was just so damn crunchy. No idea where I'd put the mics that day, but it was godly, obviously.

This is the problem with home studios! Cats, children and drunk-ass adults also live in them, knocking things around.

Enjoy! Album out 30 October. I'm off to Japan for a couple of weeks before then, so if the plane crashes and I die/end up on an island of mystery and danger, you'll have to check it out on streaming since I won't be here to manually activate it on Bandcamp.

Unless I figure out a way to travel through time...

Missing from the graph are the potential reasons it's shaped this way - the dip at the end of the '90s from the Asian crisis; growing through the 00s fuelled by rising house prices and bracket creep; then the GFC., followed by more rising house prices. Graph conveniently cuts off pre-Covid

You're both right! The Greens might be in a stronger position to at least get the ball rolling, if not all the way, should current polls end up with a left government. But a clean break to another party with a tax reform agenda might have given it a bit more of a kick along. But now we won't know
