Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 30/06/2026When looking at the price history, Amazon's AI Rufus called the AmazonBasics price "geniunely shocking compared to established brands" 😂 000
Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 30/06/2026I ordered a Crucial 2TB external drive in January. At the time, prices were: Crucial X10 2TB: £159 AmazonBasics 2TB: £143 Today the prices are: Crucial X10 2TB: £224 AmazonBasics 2TB: £419 <-- WTF? All prices are "Sold by Amazon" prices. 200
Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 20/05/2026Finally hit 100% on TinyGS SatDex! 🙂 (well, until some other satellite is added) Still seems nuts that you can collect data packets from satellites with a homemade antenna of cheap brass rods 020
Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 08/08/2025Instead of testing new LLMs with Flappy Bird or Pelican-on-a-bike (both of which may be in training data many times over), how about having them try to implement highly-rated features in large OSS projects that have no implementation/PRs? 🤔 000

Now with the new Dart 3.8, I added a Ctrl + Click option for your lints that takes you to the the docs! Built upon @dantup.com work for pub packages! #FlutterDev #DartLang 051

The lint warns about omitted types that can't be inferred and default to dynamic. Try it out and provide feedback to github.com/dart-lang/sd.... Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 07/02/2025Amazon is such a mess these days. This is a Sold-by-Amazon product... 🤷♂️ 000
Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 07/02/2025Are Amazon sellers allowed to put anything they want in their display names? Having 5 stars seems pretty dodgy... makes me wonder if you could just put "Amazon" or other brands names in there? 🤷♂️ 210

Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 21/01/2025Only today did it occur to me that if I add Descriptions to my PoSh aliases I can have them printed at startup as a reminder. The number of times I've looked up this "print git branches sorted by commit date" command, forgetting I'd created an alias 🤦♂️ 000
Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 08/01/2025I thought I replied to this, but don't see it... I do use PowerToys (mostly for Fancy Zones), but I need my cursor to be visible without needing to spam buttons, that would be just as infuriating :D 010
Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 06/01/2025Seems like disabling MPO may have fixed this (link is an Nvidia article, though my card is AMD). I thought I'd done this in the past to fix a different issue (text cursor lagging/jumping), but maybe it got reset in an update? nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/...nvidia.custhelp.comNVIDIA Support 000
Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 06/01/2025Last few weeks, I'm frequently having Chrome show a white i-beam cursor over a white background, so I'm frequently losing my cursor. Is it just me? Can't find any other recent complaints online, but it's driving me mad 🙃 220
Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 01/01/2025Maybe in time this will be too... But hopefully there is better control of what I see here (or by self hosting) 010
Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 31/12/2024I think it's a tough problem to solve well because there's a lot of code that looks similar but isn't, or doesn't but is. It might be difficult to balance false positives/false negatives. Being able to understand what each function does (for ex. with AI) might improve the results. 020

Danny Tuppeny @dantup.com · 31/12/2024Not sure how much I'll use this, but Twitter and FB are so full of stuff I didn't ask for, I figured it's worth a look :) We're all good, thanks! You? 110
